I super <3 this laser game project being shown off at California Extreme this weekend. #CaliforniaExtreme #CAX #Laser #Vector #Projector LASER-CADE. A vector based laser projected multigame video game project by Teri (teri1337) Laser-Oids (Asteroids) Laser-Wars (Space Wars) Laser-Lander (Lunar Lander) Existing Monochrome versions (1 Laser): Version 1, Proto, Rev 1, Board Date unknown, Processor-Controller Arduino (roy?) Version 2, Proto, Rev 1, Board Date 20130724, Processor-Controller Microchip Technology / Atmel ATmega328P-PU Version 2, Sold, Rev 1C, Board Date 20131004, Processor-Controller Microchip Technology / Atmel ATmega328P-PU In the most current version of LASER-CADE shown in the pictures below all games run on CPU that has 32 KBytes of Flash memory, 1 KByte of EEPROM, and 2 KBytes of RAM. Future RGB Version (3 Lasers): Version X, Proto, Rev [TBD], Board Date [TBD], Processor-Controller [TBD] Other YouTube videos:Adafruit Industries | Show and Tell 7/13/2013 | (YouTube)Adafruit Industries | Show and Tell 8/17/2013 | (YouTube)#CaliforniaExtreme #CAX #Laser #Projector #Atmel #ATmega328

Wow, did you play it? I'll have to spend some more time on that 20+ minute video

I did play it. Multiple times. It works well! May post some other pics and vid later.
BTW, the lever on the controller in the pic above is used for her version of Lunar Lander. So yes, it does have an analog control to go along with the buttons. A 10K potentiometer is used with the spring back to zero thrust provided by a rubber band.

Argh, I'd written a reminder into my calendar - to remind any CEX visitors of an earlier post of mine - but I forgot to post it. This is the one: vectorgaming.proboards.com/post/11658Basically, I asked if anyone would film Moon Quake if it was there. Did anyone do that?

Here is the PC Board for the LASER-CADE by teri1337 Read more about this laser projection based video game in the original post above. Not a Vectrex. But it does point to some hope for a system like this. I would expect anything using a laser for project would better served by using MEMS chip based device rather than a galvanometer. Even the fastest galvos have their speed drawbacks.
