Looks great! Looking forward to seeing how the rest turns out It would be extra cool if you added an AtariVox+ built into the cabinet with the sound output through the same speaker as the Vectrex standard audio. Will there be a flash cart or a way to easily swap cartridges?

Hey looks nice.
Does the original controller hidden in the back still have some function?
.. In your Prequel video you refer to a 3D Imager you are salvaging. .. Did you know that there are reproduction 3D Imagers available now for not too much money?
.. You also mention in the video that you can produce overlays. Can you please elaborate on your experience or insight into doing that?

For the two player games or any future two player games. 2.) For the times when you feel like playing the vectrex arcade with the original controller. Ah And Yes the imager! I am very well aware of the reproduction models. I only speak for myself when I say I wouldn't have learned the things I know if I didn't take things which were broken and repaired them. Plus its nothing like the real thing..right? and the overlays....... We were messing around, but we know we can reproduce them.

Not sure why the board needs to be lit. But I LOVE it!

Good looking overlays! I'd love to hear how you did it if you ever feel like sharing some details. I've experimented quite a bit with laser printing on acetate and laminating the print, but I'm always quite unhappy with the inevitable warped lamination and the cutout and rounded edges.

Nightowl, I also love that you hacked the opening screen ROM. I want to give that a try just for fun.

Thank you guys definitely feel the welcome here. Will add more updates soon as the weather clears up. This is still in raw form, next episode will be the on the marquee, lights, finish, some cool art and details.
xefned - I tend to put a little extra touch in every project I build. I thought how much cooler would it be that the arcade boots up with NightOwl Arcades. Glad you caught that!!
Since you will be able to look inside the arcade while its on it was important to isolate the boards as well. Should be a good show when its all running. ( The portion of the top and back will be see through ).
Will update shortly thanks again guys.

Awesome work, but what is "mini" about it? It looks bigger than the original Vectrex! :]
