Yeh... um ... I meant Bullet Hell as in pattern-shot based vertical or horizontal scrolling SHMUP. Yes, did you look at the later videos in that thread? It would be good if you could also show a redefined character-block based Debris does this, as does YASI. Frankly, I hate the look of BIOS text routines and I have no interest in forcing the Vectrex into being a raster display. That's like putting a trailer hitch on a Lamborghini.

I did watch all the videos but can't see your point? Nothing in these clips shows anything like a vertical or horizontal scrolling bullet-pattern and boss based bullet hell game? Having lost of things on screen doesn't automatically make it a 'bullet hell' shooter to me. Although it looks like it's shaping up to be a good game, powered by a very interesting engine. But it's not my idea of a 'bullet hell' game. Just goes to show we all have different opinions I suppose, and that's not a bad thing.

I've been looking at these videos again, and trying to figure out how you get so much objects on screen at once. I'm going to have to try and make something that can move as much without flicker now! Even if I can't turn. It in to a game. This engine made me jealous As was said this could make a very good arena shooting game, or a Galaxy Wars type game that would put my early Vec Wars game to shame I would like to try and do something that is more to my idea/understanding of a bullet hell game on the Vectrex. Maybe I should start with trying to disassemble (and understand) the existing Rom line-draw process.
