I think SOS Helicopter is from the end of the 70' I confirm : 1978 in France by congost france; a bit earlier in Spain I suppose.

I've had those in the past as well. Included the MARX-A-COPTER set was a pre-recorded soundtrack on a cardboard record you ripped from the contents and played on your turntable. It's a cheap kind of plastic-cardboard record you would find in many toys from the era, as well as on the back of cereal boxes. Wow, I'll bet those are almost impossible to find complete nowadays, record and all.

There was a Space Flight game close to the Johnson Space Center in Houston I played. It was in a cafeteria that is no longer in business. I have to say that for me at the time (a 5 to 6 year old) Whirlylbird was much more fun. But if I found the Bally Space Flight game somewhere today I would probably appreciate it more. Not just for its age, but also the theme and overall execution. Thanks for helping to pull that memory back to the surface.
