Tailgunner was the first arcade game I ever played. It was in a greasy spoon where I first tried onion rings. Could that have been the greatest day of my life? I think yes!

Tailgunner was the first arcade game I ever played. It was in a greasy spoon where I first tried onion rings. Could that have been the greatest day of my life? I think yes! Tailgunner is one of those perfect games for the Vectrex. It was always one of the "lesser" vector arcade games, too hard for most people, not very imaginative. I'm not knocking it, I loved that game, especially the analog joystick control. But it wasn't in many arcades, I'm so surprised they made a cockpit version! It's not like it had different levels or viewpoints, either, just the one, well, tail gunner view, haahaha. I'm looking forward to playing that one.

Fury site now says Tailgunner will initially release for FREE to original subscribers of Vectorbolt magazine who re-subscribe before the deadline.

Ah, it's a lot more obvious and visible now than when I resubscribed! Tailgunner image wasn't there for starters.

I just resubscribed myself. Nice bonus for it, I must say.

Too late for me. I've never even ordered one issue. .. Can anyone report on what the "build your own vectrex controller" feature consisted of? Was it a retrofit/mod kind of thing or starting with just components? Analog? .. I like how simple the Starblast is but I don't know about his other controllers. Like does the Yeti/Equinox have a pcb inside or is it just wired up?
