Ugh, just got this e-mail (and several replies, which I'm sure will voice exactly what I'm thinking too) from a guy in my gaming group that said this:
A month ago I'm talking with a friend and mention I collect/restore pinball machines and video games. He says "Really, my father-in-law, who's in Louisiana, has a Pacman and maybe two other video games outside in a metal shed - next time I see him I'll try to get them for you". So, the other day my friend recently got back from Louisiana and I asked, "Did you talk to your father-in-law?". He gets this look on his face and says "you're not going to believe what happened". His father-in-law was "cleaning up the place" and razed the metal shed. All of the shed contents, including the video games, were burned in a hole and then covered up with dirt - problem solved.
Oh well. I don't know the condition of the games, but it just seems like such a waste.
Makes me nearly feel sick to my stomach...and here I just ate.

What with the 'boat find' it goes to show there must be undiscovered gems all over the place. Right place, right time is all it takes... easier said than done though...
