Was wondering if any of the Vectrex devs here would be interested in pinging me to discuss the viability of a project I am working on? Initially I'd just need some technical input from an experienced dev... I have experience on a number of platforms, including 6809, but not specifically the Vectrex. I think this project would definitely attract interest from Vectrex gamers!?!

discuss the viability of a project I am working on? Whatever the project, it might be more viable with a Vectrex32 than a Vectrex alone.

Thanks; I'm aware of this but I'm not really interested in it. The idea is to write something for a stock Vectrex. In fact I was toying with the idea of an FPGA-based cart to run original ROMs quite a few years ago myself.

Homebrew games based on the Vectrex32:
Lunar Lander (matching the look and feel of the arcade game) Missilebreak-Outvaders (a mash-up of Missile Command, Break-out, and Space Invaders)

Any more being worked on? Have any more been released as free downloadable .bins?
Cheers.
***EDIT***
List of over 170 Vectrex binaries deleted as requested by hcmffm "I'd much prefer if you removed all titles that aren't available for explicit download from the list. In other words: There shouldn't be any title without explicit permission of the game author for spreading a free binary."
Coupled with the feeling that I was getting a reputation of having one of the most comprehensive collection of Vectrex binaries on-line.
Sorry for any trouble caused. That wasn't my intention.
Long live the Vectrex!
Cheers.

Latest update for .bins that I am still yet to source.
If anyone can shed any light on their statuses then I would be most grateful.
Cheers.

I removed it from the list as I was told it was not to be shared in that format. I respect that, my list is not about such things with that one. It's available to buy physically here: www.vectorrepublic.co.ukCheers.

Spike's Slam Pit doesn't exist, you can remove it from your list.

japjac: Do I understand right: Is your above list the list of binaries that you're still looking for? How comes that Vector Pilot was on your previous list and is no longer on the list? Did you get a binary of that game? If yes, where did you get it from? Did Kristof Tuts, the author of Vector Pilot agree? Same question for Stramash Zone, author is James G Watt and I much doubt that James made the binary public. Why are copyrighted games on that list? Your list is irritating. Currently, I have the feeling that your list is all about software piracy and illegal copies of games. Please give us a clear explanation what your list is about and what it should be good for.

I am only after binaries that are not copyrighted.
I was told that Big Blue, Vector Pilot and Strasmash Zone are copyrighted, so I removed them from the list.
So if I understand this right, it's okay to have a binary of Mine Storm or Becky's Message but not Big Blue as it's copyrighted. And I respect this, like I said earlier. But my question is, how on earth is someone meant to know what is copyrighted and what is not copyrighted? That is the main purpose of this list, for me.
I'm sorry that you find this list annoying. If you would be kind enough to contribute and advise what is copyrighted, I would remove them and thus therefore this list would become not annoying for you, hopefully.
I'm just not psychic when it comes to copyrighted Vectrex binaries, sorry.
Cheers.
