So now we have my single owner Sega Genesis Model 2 + Sega CD Model 2, this console combo truly took my video game addiction to another level during my years at Texas Tech University. I received both uits as a gift from my girlfriend in 1993 and they have never been seperated from each other since (only for cleaning). More hours than is imaginable have been put onto these units. I'm talking years of marathon Madden, Bill Walsh College Football, Toe Jam & Earl, Third World War, Night Trap, etc... My largest collection of games of all my classic consoles is easily for the Sega CD. The only system I ever truly wanted to complete the US Release Collection for was the Sega CD, until I found this site less than a month ago. Now I am entertaining the thought of completing the Intellivision and Colecovision collections, not 100% as there are a few ridiculously priced games that I will not drop coin on. This combo has seen lots of road trips and abuse over it's 20 years of existence, but damn it son, she stil looks pretty damn sexy still. One of my biggest regrets now, is that I did not keep the boxes for either unit, but I wasn't thinking of the future value of the units or collectability while in college. As always, enjoy...

Sweet!! Just waiting for the right game to be popped in and taken for a drive.
I still play Third World War and Road Rash on mine.

How is WW3, by the way? I hadn't heard anything about that one. I take it it's a simulation?

To me it's similar to Command and Conquer and Lemonade Stand(old Apple IIe title). Sounds a little weird but you have to keep your Morale, Level of Law and Order, International Trust, Military strength, Budget and Support for Gov't. It can be time consuming. Then you have real time battles.

Lemonade Stand..LOL. I played that game back in the day.
Yeah, Third World War was and is the shiznit. You are trying to take over the World, while also pledging peace. Depending on how you choose to invest your countries GDP, determines what weapons you develop and how many you can deploy. Still love playing the game, as does my 13 yr old son.
Of the consoles I own, this combo is the biggest pain to clean. Too many odd sized crevices for dust to get into, of which my common cleaning techniques are stymied. It gets cleaned, just takes much longer to clean it.
Sorry about getting the name of Third World War wrong, it was late at night when I made the post.

Yours really looks nice. After VectorX suggested black pillow cases. I invested in several of them since I do not play as often as I like.
You are so right a lot of places to collect dust.

After VectorX suggested black pillow cases. Actually color doesn't matter to the best of my knowledge. (Maybe in the pic that I had the case looked black?)

Actually there could be an in-joke there since one of--if not THE reason(s)--we're here is due to the Vectrex, which doesn't even have color anyway

PLENTY actually, since I don't know anything about programming. So there's nothing I can say about the technical parts of the 'trex, games or accessories. One thing I only just learned today though was that, upon getting Gravitrex Plus, when I was looking around for some online stuff about it, I only just found out the bonus hidden game included is based on some Apple 2 game called Sabotage, NOT 2600 Commando Raid, as previously reported. Granted, maybe you already knew this, but if not, well, another thing that's been taught
