I recently picked this console up on AtariAge, for what I feel was a great price. I must say this particular Atari 5200 is in unbelievably good condition. The aluminum cosmetic panel is free of scratches, which truly amazes me. There are a few very minor scuffs on the lower panel, but they are not noticeable, unless closely inspected. As always, this console received a good RedRaider Detailing, though it hardly needed it.
The box is also a true gem IMHO. Very good condition, considering the age of this console.
Supplied with this Atari 5200 were two Gold-PCB Refurbished controllers. They even have the plastic covering still on the aluminum cosmetic plates. They both operate perfectly and are in pristine condition.
This is my first Atari console to own and sadly I'm not that impressed with it. To me something just doesn't feel right about it, which could be the controllers, the absolute worst I have ever used. I only have a few games for it so far, after I pick up a AtariMax cartridge, hopefully I can find some games that I'll enjoy playing.
I have also decided to have the S-Video Mod installed, I will update this thread when it is completed.
As always, enjoy...

Berzerk's pretty good, I played that at a gaming expo last year (I never had a 5200 but a few friends did, but I had never played that until recently). Always wanted to play Countermeasure. What the hell happened with Galaxian though?! Sure, it looks pretty close to the original, but the aliens going SIDEWAYS? What the hell?
Yeah, when I took the nephew to an expo, we came in through the back way first...where the home consoles were. He immediately picked the 5200 as his very first one to play (uh oh!). He said something about there being something wrong with the controllers ;D Luckily I explained it to him and things got better from there, as he even knew what Warlords was several minutes later, which I was surprised at, but then he probably had played it on one of the millions of Atari compilations out there. Where on earth TWO Warlords tabletops could be bought and brought to an expo I've no idea, but that didn't stop us from playing a few games that afternoon
That 5200 is in top notch condition! Wow! I recently got two of them (4 port and 2 port) but their boxes were not in the best shape and the 2 port one even had some broken plastic (the 4 port is almost as pristine as your 5200). At least they both function as they are supposed to. I did get a multicart with SD card on it so I can add ROMS to it but I do have several games with boxes along with some duplicates.
