Well, I'm bumping this for a couple of reasons now...
One, there's now 106 articles on the site, and soon to be nearly a dozen more, as I just did one on River Raid, and it has a lot of hacks for the Atari 2600 version, so I can just copy most of the information from the 2600 part of the page onto the hacks pages, so that'll add several more.
Also, I wanted to see if y'all could fill in some blanks on that:
botss.wikia.com/wiki/River_Raid
At first things didn't seem too bad, as the Atari 2600 and 5200 versions were totally complete, and thanks to YouTubers for putting up videos on all the other versions from when the game first came out, I was able to gather other pieces of info on scoring and/or controls on several of those (none of which I've played and I'm not much into emulation).
But then I remembered a review of the Activision Anthology for the Game Boy Advance and looked that up, thinking "SURELY that was done for other platforms than just the GBA!".
Um, yeah: I didn't know it was made for a lot of modern platforms, such as the iOS, Droid, some failed console that came out several years ago I had never heard of, PSP, PS2, etc.
Oh, crap. By that time I just said "screw THIS" (since I'd spent a few hours working on it on and off for the last few days) and put in headings for those systems, leaving them totally blank, except for the GBA controls.
So, a few things here:
1. If anyone can confirm scoring, how much the game is like the original 2600 version and/or controls for the first section for when the game was first released (Intellivision, ColecoVision, MSX, etc.), do pass it along so I can fill in some blanks.
2. If you can do the same (or maybe just that) for the modern section, that'd be good (same as above; missing controls, etc.).
3. If anyone has a photo of an Anthology box and want to upload it to the site, that'd also be good, if not do an article on one of the versions for whatever platform you have it on. Info from the River Raid page can be legally copied to make it easier, plus I can pass along any tips if needed. Or if you just want to do a stub article with just the pic and some info that's fine with me.
4. If someone could go to this page here and give me some info on the River Raid update, I'd appreciate it, as I think it lists the name of whoever did it and/or the year (which is all I need). I can't see it due to using Pale Moon and having a fried version of Internet Explorer, so I only get half a page and can't see it, I just remember it being there.
Thanks in advance, even if all you do is read
