Just wanted to see who else on here has played any of these games and what they thought of them.
For the few people on the face of the planet that hasn't (such as myself...well, until earlier this week ;D ), these are a series of puzzle games that involves suicidal birds (for some reason) who are hellbent on destroying a bunch of pigs (also for some reason...or not). Basically you're given a landscape complete with a slingshot. A bird is loaded onto the slingshot, and you move your finger on the screen towards a series of structures that safeguard a bunch of pigs. Release your finger, and the bird goes flying to hopefully knock through the structures and destroy the pigs. If your bird can't take out a pig initially, fear not! It might cause a chain reaction and cause one or more structures to topple onto the pig(s) and destroy it/them. Also, a dotted line shows the previous birds' trajectory, so if you fall short (or over), usually with the next one you can aim higher or whatever for success the next time around.
I've played Angry Birds Seasons HD on the iPad, which each puzzle shows a different season, like with ones set on Hallowe'en, Christmas, Easter, St. Patrick's Day, etc. It's strange how the first puzzles are hard but they get easier after that.
Angry Birds Space HD is better, as the difficulty level is lower, and the physics get crazy with you launching birds in orbits around planets and such. In no time flat I unlocked most of the stuff this time around, unlike with Seasons where there's stuff where I still haven't gotten past the first level of one or two (but then I haven't spent a lot of time on it though). After all, I had to do that since my mom couldn't figure out how to get it started (oh darn!) ;D
I give these games a 7 out of 10. Depending on the game, I assume they each have their strengths and weaknesses, such as the difficulty level on Seasons and the constant chortling ("heh heh heh") of the pigs is annoying. A. Birds Space cut out a lot of that and made things funnier too. There doesn't seem to be any music though, or maybe that's on the free versions, plus solving puzzles can get frustrating unless you just want to shoot something up, which won't happen here. There's also some clues in getting through levels as well, however.
This sure has taken off, with merchandise and a movie to come out. Pretty crazy stuff.
So anyone else out there "angry" (in a good way)?

I have played three version of Angry Birds, the original, Rio, and Space. At this point I'm Angry Bird out. They just released an Angry Birds Star Wars and I haven't even looked at it. It becomes very repetitive no matter what version of the game. As to why the birds are killing the pigs...the pigs ate their eggs.

As to why the birds are killing the pigs...the pigs ate their eggs. Oh, thanks for that. Time to make bacon out of the pigs! I have played three version of Angry Birds, the original, Rio, and Space. At this point I'm Angry Bird out. Yeah, it's the same basic game over and over, I assume. Mom's already looking for other games to download for the iPad. I'd say choose something other than Angry Birds! They just released an Angry Birds Star Wars and I haven't even looked at it. There's an AT-AT toy where you launch birds at an AT-AT...that has pigs inside ;D

Angry Birds. Arn't they what you see when you accidentally kick over their handbags when they're dancing in a circle?

I think it's a fun little idea for a free or inexpensive app, but I've never developed an interest in cell phone/tablet gaming, so I use the app sparingly. I'd rather have my phone function in the manner for which it was intended: communication. Besides, on my cell phone, it's difficult to be immersed in a game when the experience is broken up by calls and texts. The good thing is that Angry Birds doesn't demand a lot of concentration, nor does it necessitate complicated button combinations. So, for a cell phone/tablet game, it's very well made. By the way, I wonder if some ingenious fellow could retrofit Angry Birds onto the Vectrex. The drag-and-release concept of Angry Birds would seem to intermarry with the capabilities of the Light Pen.

^Good point ("Angry Spike" or Spud, anyone?), especially since people like Recycled Gamer makes modern day Light Pens that can be easily purchased, and they're not that much either. Even something like the modern 3D Imager is spotty in obtaining, since people who have made those available have kind of come and gone, so many people will still need and want one (such as myself) still don't have our hands on one. As far a phone calls go, at least Birds isn't an action game that can have your rhythm ruined by having to get back to it minutes later, although I could imagine it would still annoying though. And ha ha sj

Heh, some amusing trailers for Angry Birds Star Wars... They just released an Angry Birds Star Wars and I haven't even looked at it. Check it out, it looks cool, actually! Mom said she might actually buy it after watching that ;D Funny...

The Star Wars edition is interesting; I had a chance to play it at a Best Buy for a few minutes. It's an upgrade over the original in every way possible--new levels, new physics, new features. The core gameplay remains the same, though, and I wasn't able to progress very far into the game. Perhaps there will be a level where Greedo fires a first shot at the birds before being obliterated by Han Solo's blaster. Han would never kill in cold blood, right? That aside, I wonder what sparked the LucasFilms-Angry Birds partnership.

The core gameplay remains the same, though, I figured it would. No point in changing that, really! It's worked well so far. Perhaps there will be a level where Greedo fires a first shot at the birds before being obliterated by Han Solo's blaster. Han would never kill in cold blood, right? Ha ha! Just like with the part in the gameplay trailer where shots are being fired from Empire guns. Guess you have to time that right in getting your bird(s) through. That aside, I wonder what sparked the LucasFilms-Angry Birds partnership. Money for licensing. Quite a bit of money is being made, due to an Angry Birds movie coming out too.

Ugh. I just spent like three hours playing Angry Birds Star Wars No, it's not THAT fantastic or anything; actually I was thinking this might not be a "rags to riches" story for the company behind these games, but maybe a "riches down to a minimum wage earner" story, in case this fad starts getting old. But, what the deal was, after starting to charge up my mom's iPad, the nephew turned it back on, and we went on to play for a while longer; after one of us couldn't get through a level, usually the other person had some ideas and could figure it out. And some of the stuff ends up being pretty funny too. There's brief slideshows of certain parts, like at one point where an embarassed-looking Luke had carved up a floor pretty good with his light saber ;D Once Chewbacca appears, he's gigantic! We've made it through dozens of levels. A lot of it's like Angry Birds Space, where you use gravitational forces to shoot around some kind of mini-Death Stars (or something) and take out T. I. E. Fighters and all. Chewbacca just uses brute force, but everyone else has special powers: Obi-Wan's is my favorite, since, once he uses a Force push, that slows stuff down, Matrix-style, and is cool to watch. Luke uses his light saber, while Han (who yells "yahoo!") will shoot three shots from his blaster. And you can also earn several Millennium Falcon flybys, where your slingshot will launch some kind of a marker or something. Press the screen again and the Falcon will fly by and shoot, sometimes everything in sight. Pretty crazy, considering there'd be levels that we were stuck on for half an hour, then just one Falcon flyby would do the trick, totally clearing the level then. We went through Tattooine and are now on the Death Star. We haven't even gotten to Hoth yet and have unlocked several bonus levels (consisting of C3P0 and R2) but they all seem pretty hard, so we'd just go back to the regular game. May the birds be with you!

Half of the Bespin levels came out today ;D They took a certain aspect of the movie and exploited it pretty decently! Remember all the steam vents when Vader and Luke were battling it out? Yeah, you get a lot of those, as they guide your characters throughout several levels, which is pretty cool.
There's also some Boba Fett levels to unlock, which we haven't done yet. And he starts appearing after a while, usually attached to a chain or something. Knock him about decently enough and you'll activate his jetpack, which he'll fly around and could take out a few pigs while he's at it!
I also unlocked the first R2D2/C3P0 bonus level that I've liked so far.
