Actually I'm most curious about any of the earliest wireframe games of Stellar 7 (on the Apple 2 and C-64, but I guess any of them will do)... I have an old Electronic Gaming magazine with a review of the original PC game, having the basic Battlezone setup with it being in the first person perspective, there being wireframe graphics and barriers and such. It looked pretty cool, and there have been many games about it (/the enemy known as the Draxon in the series) since over the years, having raster and polygon graphics depending on the game. You can read a pretty thorough write-up of the series at Hardcore Gaming 101 here. I also did a review of the Sega CD version of the, Stellar-Fire, here, giving it a 6 out of 10. In that game, you mostly have to run around the surfaces of moons, collecting crystals and running away from everyone for the most part; you slow down and use your measly firepower in order to destroy anything you usually get your shields pummeled. Not bad but not the best of games either, as goals of the games differ depending on what game you're playing.

The Commodore 64 version looks very familiar. Is there an up date of this on the 3DO? I have played Stellar-Fire on the Sega CD but I haven't really given it a fair shake so I may have to give it a retry.
