Couple pretty interesting e-mails I got recently! (These are from a local gaming e-mailing group I'm on.) I don’t have final details yet, but Lon McDonald the world Joust record holder will be swinging through Houston hopefully in December. He is on a mission to rollover the score on as many Joust video games as possible. If you have a working Joust and are interested, let Joe Reyna or myself know and we will try to coordinate dates and times. Lon has started a thread on KLOV about this: forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=257594 I hope to have him roll both of my Jousts when he is in town. Then if that wasn't enough, the guy e-mailed again: I found the other KLOV thread detailing his exploits: forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=207533 I have to say, I never saw anyone roll the score on a Joust when I worked at Williams. I saw plenty of 4 & 5 million point games, but never > 10 Million.Wow, the guy used to work at Williams?! Granted, I don't know him personally--I've just seen the name on e-mails)--but that's pretty cool! And as for the Joust guy, what, he just goes around the country doing this? But then I just need to check out those links...more later...
