Sin and Punishment is a fantastic game franchise. I own the first game on the Nintendo 64--a Japanese import cartridge--and have heard enough about the Wii game to pique my interest. I think I'll look into acquiring a copy. As for notable Wii games, I would have to throw both of the Super Mario Galaxy games into the mix, as well as the critically acclaimed Xenoblade Chronicles. I enjoyed Donkey Kong Country Returns, but as I noted in another thread, I dislike certain aspects of the control scheme and would've preferred a return to the classic style without the shoehorned motion controls. Super Smash Bros. Brawl was fun while it lasted, but it has since been obsoleted by Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, which has expanded the roster by a significant margin and established a happy medium between Melee-era fighting mechanics and Brawl-era game content. I've had a busy few months as I recently plunged back into modern gaming with my acquisition of a PlayStation 4. My library of PS4 games now includes Fallout 4, Bloodborne, Wolfenstein: Old Blood, The Last of Us Remastered (digital), Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, and Resident Evil: Origins Collection. For the Wii U, my new titles include Xenoblade Chronicles X and Shovel Knight. This month, Street Fighter V comes out on the PS4, and over spring, I'll be looking to acquire Mighty No. 9 (Wii U) and Doom (PS4). There have been no classic game purchases as of late. I'm still looking to collect some of the missing pieces in my game library, though, so stay tuned for more updates.

Well, I've been getting more into my Arcade games again of late... my Asteroids cocktail is fixed and have installed an online enabled high score kit (seeing Checking DHCP on the screen of a 1979 vector game is a bit mind bending!). I've added a bunch of original PCBs for my Jamma cab - 1942, Pacland, Bomb Jack, Kung Fu Master And last week I got one of my absolute grails... well, 1 item that's 50% each of two of my grails! A Power Drift upright Arcade Cab with OutRun in it... I have a good lead on a Power Drift PCB but OutRun is fine by me for now! Couldn't be happier! cNp

Funny looking Power Drift there Yup, the guy I bought it off has wired up a clever loom to play Outrun whilst he searched for a Power Drift PCB but never came across one... I have a decent lead on a board so fingers crossed. The stereing, pedals and gears are identical across the two games though so perfect for some OutRun action! cNp

Well I broke down and got a PS3, after buying the Ico Collection (Ico and Shadow of the Colossus remastered for PS3 in HD and 3D capable) in advance. I don't plan on doing much else with this, just the Batman and Bioshock games. .. I wanted the slim console but jumped on a deal for the super slim instead. .. Drove straight from the grocery store parking lot, (craigslist) to my buddy's house to play on his 55" 3D TV. Earlier in the day, at the thrift store I picked up a 9" TV (I hoard small televisions, great for older console gaming in my opinion, but this one is EXTRA small) and this pretty nifty shelf/stand, perfect for temporary and semi-mobile setup. I didn't have enough cash to get the retired preacher's podium that would make an even better Vectrex stand. .. The small flat screen is what I will play the PS3 on for the time being. I've been selling off some of my extra Vectrex stuff. Not really getting what i was hoping for it, but still enough to pay for this new stuff.

I enjoyed X-Men Legends on the gamecube. I never played the sequel but I did play at least one of the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games, (can't remeber which one it was, but i think it was on PS2, and played just like the X-Men played on the Gamecube). .. I guess I liked the Marvel Ultimate game better bc it seemed more varied, playable characters that i like more and more variety in the level scenery.
Pretty solid games and especially fun if you are into the characters. .. I guess if there is an equal quality PS2 version though, I will always prefer that to GC, much better controller in my opinion.

I just got the games so I have not tried them yet but the reviews for both Legends and Legends 2 are very good. They were cheap so I went ahead and got them both.

Cool. .. I'm not sure if i was clear about Marvel Ultimate Alliance, or if you already knew. They are very similar games, I think probably the same game engine.

My latest acquisitions are for the NES. Keeping in mind that I hadn't yet made any additions to my NES library this year, imagine my surprise when I was presented with the sudden opportunity to add not one but four games to my collection for a good price. The games included in the haul were Dragon Warriors I through IV. I owned Dragon Warrior III as a youngster, but I haven't been able to track down my original cartridge. Even after I bought my own NES in 2013 and I rummaged through all of our storage bins to locate my old games, DWIII was the one game that eluded me. For those not familiar with the series, Dragon Warrior (Dragon Quest) is one of the most celebrated RPG franchises of all time. In the '80s, Nintendo Power offered free copies of the first Dragon Warrior to North American subscribers. The promotion was a massive success in drawing new subscribers to Nintendo Power, but didn't have the intended effect of igniting interest in console RPGs. Thus, Dragon Warrior was a tremendously popular game, but the three sequels didn't do as well as Enix projected and the company decided not to localize the Super Famicom Dragon Warrior games. The NES saga, however, is an excellent effort for its time and still holds up well today. I remember playing Dragon Warrior III before I was even fully able to read. I struggled through all the dialogue but I could understand how to battle enemies and cast magic spells. I guess I've always been an RPG gamer at heart.
