gamezone gave me the idea to this poll with his post about having to fill NES boxes with games that he doesn't have at the present.
I don't have to have every single game for every single console. I'd like to have my games as complete as possible, with boxes and instructions, but I'm not hardcore. I only am hardcore in a few aspects, like wanting the entire Starpath library for the Atari 2600, since there's only 12 games (and I'm a third of the way there!).

Tough decision. I started collecting because I was introduced to ROMS and emulators. For me it was the legal issues.
Seriously what are the chances my home will be raided and they find all these back-ups. But if they do I have the carts to prove why I have backups. MAME is another story but it goes like this "They are in a storage unit in Idaho and I lost the key".

I don't think many people (if anyone, PERIOD) has been busted in having ROMs on their computer but I could be wrong.

Carts is fine by me. It's a pain getting out / putting them back in the boxes. If I want instructions I'll print them off the 'Digital Press' site. I just want to play them, not look at the packaging...
