For those that don't know, a creepypasta is a short story (or they could even be novella-size in length) with elements of horror, shock and/or gore intended to scare the reader. These can go back decades, or be modern, even to the point where they take on their own life with fan art, videos, etc. (like the current Candle Cove movement, which could very well go on to being my all-time favorite creepypasta!). "Game (NEVER) Over" follows the blog of a man named Jim who has started his life over with a divorce, (downsized) house, a new blog and video game he bought from a resale shop. Unfortunately unsettling things begin happening with the more and more he plays the game. Depending on the individual readers' taste, this could be a treasure trove of classic gaming, due to there being plenty of name-dropping in regards to the Atari 2600, Sega Genesis, arcade, and the Vectrex. Photos of a Genesis and Vectrex are also included in the story. As a warning, though, there is one line of really bad language (although it's explained), as the rest is a PG, maybe PG-13 level at best due to the material, plus it is pretty lengthy. However, some of the blog posts are pretty brief, which could allow for some quick reading. Game (NEVER) OverDon't read it with the lights off!

I must have missed this thread! Actually, I'm not familiar with creepypasta fiction; I've seen quite a few mentions of it on Facebook, though. I've been preparing for my first week of grad school, but I'm sure I'll have a chance to read yours over the weekend.

Actually, I'm not familiar with creepypasta fiction; I've seen quite a few mentions of it on Facebook, though. It covers all kinds of stuff, as I went to a lot of trouble with this one, so lets just say the first place I meant to put it on didn't accept "haunted game" stuff any more, along with spin-offs of other things, such as Jeff the Killer, Marble Hornets/the Slender Man, etc. So there's a lot of potential there in just the things they didn't accept any more, along with original stuff people come up with by themselves. Good luck with grad school (note: I don't know if it's Proboards or this keyboard getting wonky, but for some reason I can't copy and paste; I'll look into this...). I'm sure you'll have a busy week in just that alone!
