I was thinking about the awesome 2600 game of Escape from the MindMaster and how there was going to be a version for the ColecoVision, leading to a couple of questions.
One, does anyone know if Starpath was planning on coming out with games for other systems as well? And two, what format? It seems to me they wouldn't necessarily have to have a Supercharger for each and every system but I could be wrong. Because a prototype cart was found of Rabbit Transit with Atari's name on it years ago, which it seems that for some reason Atari made a deal with Starpath to somehow make their games on cart for the 2600. So it seems Starpath could do the same for other platforms.

I've never heard anything about the company developing games for other systems. That would have been interesting and I also wonder what their approach would have been. A cartridge like the SuperCharger for other systems or just carts?

A cartridge like the SuperCharger for other systems or just carts? I'd assume the more powerful systems like the ColecoVision would just come on cart but I could be wrong. I've never heard anything about the company developing games for other systems. It might've just been the ColecoVision they were eyeing:

That looks pretty good and makes me realize just how good the 2600 version is! Starpath may have chosen to make a special cart that would use tapes for other systems as well as that was their "staple," so to speak, thanks to their game development for the 2600. They could have even gone the say way (adding extra RAM) on the newer consoles as well to make better games.

That looks pretty good and makes me realize just how good the 2600 version is! Pretty brilliant move to have the Stalker get "in your face" once he catches you, if you ask me! It also makes me wonder if the maze not appearing until you start going through it is the standard game or maybe if you increase the starting skill level (like with most Coleco games).

Oh yes, the stalker does get in your face when he finds you! LOL
On the 2600 version you don't have levels to choose from, if I remember correctly.

No, you don't, there's just the one game (but a great one it is!). All you can do is choose between fast and slow stalkers or 5 or 9 chances to try to beat the game with via the difficulty switches, and that's it.

I didn't ask Denis Caswell about Starpath working on other formats besides the 2600, and he never mentioned anyone developing for another platform bar the 2600 at Starpath, but he did say when I interviewed him:
All of the Supercharger games were written on Apple II computers. We tested them by either downloading them directly into the Supercharger (another advantage of the device) or by using a piece of rather crude (but still useful) debugging hardware that Craig and Bob had managed to acquire before my arrival.
So it's entirely possible that the games could have been ported in some way if the Apple was a development system. I was not aware of Coleco being a target.

Cool, what was the interview for, a website and/or publication?

I did for it my own website, but I then used parts of it for the "Making Of" Impossible Mission article in Retro Gamer magazine way back in 2006. There's an IM piece in next month's Retro Gamer, and the guy who's written it has spoken to Dennis again, and tried to track down the team in Hungary that wrote the sequel. My interview is on my website here: www.mayhem64.co.uk/interview/caswell.htm
