So what do you use for this type of gaming platform anyway?

Generally yes. As long as there is an informed consumer I can call upon from time to time. Now you must excuse me, my gramophone needs winding up and I've misplaced my ear-trumpet.

Are your hamsters burned out from running on the treadmill to power the gramophone, or do you not have one of those? Quite handy.

Brilliant! You are an informed consumer! I wonder if Trek knows the best brand of hamster to use.

Brilliant! You are an informed consumer! I wonder if Trek knows the best brand of hamster to use. Not brand but species. The best hamster species for this purpose is the Roborovski hamster: 1. Roborovski hamsters are the smallest hamsters. 2. They are NOT known to have any predispositions to illnesses. (Winter whites are known to be susceptible to diabetes.) 3. Roborovski hamsters originate from the deserts of Mongolia. 4. They drink less water and pee less than other hamsters (because they're desert hamsters). 5. Roborovski hamsters run VERY fast. 6. They love to spin in hamster-bathing-sand. 7. Males don't need to pee to mark their territory because they have scent glands on their belly that look like a permanent yellow pee stain. 8. Their average life span is 2 to 3 years (considered long). Let me know if this "informed moment" was useful.

What kind of device (tablet/pad), or do you just use a phone?
Well, mom got a Galaxy tablet today. The camera is the best I've seen out of three devices now, sound only a tiny bit better in watching a video with the cheap one she got (Apple had the best sound so far), the touch responds the best out of all devices. Mom hasn't signed in to get some games or anything yet, but upon looking at all the pre-loaded stuff, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 was there! So I tapped on that, it said there was a new version already, and if I wanted to update, so I did. Well, where is it? Tapping on it since took me to a screen that said $4.99, yet there wasn't anything under Download manager, nor games or anything. Don't know what I supposedly updated unless it was some games player/account deal. But then, I need to check out the instructions, I suppose.

I use a Nexus 5 (phone), a Nexus 7, and a Transformer Prime. The Prime is already a bit old, so I'm waiting for the newer version of the Nexus 10 to be released.
The Galaxy tablets are a good choice! They have added features that can be fun to use. I'm not sure what is happening with Sonic on it, though. Does the app appear in the applications drawer?

No. Maybe it was just some deal with the game player I updated, or something? I looked around the Sega apps page and found a "Sonic 4 Lite" that's free though, so that'll be cool to check out Probably just a few levels for free, then you have to pay for the rest of the game, but I could be wrong.

I've got somewhat of s soft spot for Sega's mobile games, even if they are just ports of old titles. Super Monkey Ball SE and Chu Chu Rocket are recommended. The Sonic 4 games are fun, I prefer Part II to Part I. Sonic CD is very nice, especially with the graphics updates.
Space Invaders Infinity Gene, Canabalt, and Pix 'n Love Rush are also played regularly.

Let me know if this "informed moment" was useful. mmm... fairly useful. You didn't mention whether they would survive if you hit one over the neighbours fence with a tennis racket. C'mon Trek. Get with the programme. If you're gonna be my informed consumer I need all the information.

I think Trek only had time for a quick post that only went over the basics.

I'll do a racket test and report back. Ok. I've checked the different brands/species... Syrian - Tend to fight among themselves. Campbells - Make great soup. Winter White - Don't play tennis with them in the snow. You can't find them. Roborovski - Explode on impact. Chinese - Ok, but one is never enough.
