Except it isn't the largest videogame collection, just the biggest Guinness has certified. I know several people with much larger collections (we're talking 15k-20k) that just don't want the publicity that would surround it.

And there's the rub. You are entirely allowed to be written out of history and still retain your on self satisfaction.
But then OP mentioned saving time, not gaining fame.
