Well at least there aren't many of them, as it's mostly just use left/right flippers. I'm just glad the ball physics stuff was finally sorted out, after all these years (although some pinball games over the years have succeeded in seeming *real*, but it was just a few here and there, pretty much).

Yeah, that one worked out well, along with the majority of them. Some of them it's way too hard to tell what's going on though, like with Attack from Mars. Too much flashy crap going on to see in the iPad version, at least. Yep. That's an ace. But Theatre of Magic, TOTAN and Twilight Zone are the three best modern tables ever made. Give Cactus Canyon a shot too. A fun table indeed!

Yeah, I liked that one! I had never even heard of it either.

Today, I put the finishing touches on Skyrim. It was a grand adventure until the end, but I was beginning to run out of options, so I decided to ditch the remaining side quests and complete the main story. There's still some exploring to be done--I realized I missed an entire city during my playthrough--but I had already invested enough hours into the game and didn't want to turn Skyrim into a daily routine. I created a second character because I wanted to see how the beginning chapter would unfold if I aligned myself with the opposing faction. Other than that, I think I'll set my sights on a PS2 game. The semester starts next week, and I want to continue making headway into my video game collection.

I was playing a lot Vector Pilot for Vectrex, last two weeks. Time for a play-break now, rescuing some ZXSpectrum homebrews from me and friends of mine (miraculously many of the old cassette tapes still running)

Have not been playing much lately. But am ready for a good baseball game. Any suggestions of a good game and the system to play it on?

Always a favorite among friends with the co-op mode How on earth is that? That neon box...yikes! That too brief "huh!" ending...geez. Not too many pinball games for the Genny though.

Mr. Nutz is what some people call a "safe" platformer because it isn't overly difficult but it is still an enjoyable game.

Have not been playing much lately. But am ready for a good baseball game. Any suggestions of a good game and the system to play it on? I'm not an expert on baseball games, and I know even less about the actual sport, but Ken Griffey, Jr.'s games on the Super Nintendo were some of my favorite sports games in the '90s. I own the sequel, Winning Run, which has more polished graphics. I've also heard a lot of good things about Baseball Stars on the NES, as well as World Series '95 and R.B.I. Baseball '93 on the Genesis. Today was another Sega Genesis day! Awesome list! It's good to see those Disney games getting some use today. The Illusion series, Quackshot, and Aladdin were Genesis classics. Last night, I had a somewhat discouraging Phantasy Star II session. Bear in mind that my save file from 2012 had been corrupted, so I lost all my progress in the game (having already beaten two dungeons). Something inspired me to pick up the game again, though, and I started a new save file last night. PSII is what I'd call a "grind heavy" game, meaning that your characters need to build up a lot of experience to survive even the early dungeons. So, I put an hour of work into my characters before I ran into an impossible encounter with health-leeching enemies. Anytime I tried to do damage, they healed themselves and continued to put a beating on my party. I lost the battle (and an hour of progress), and set the game down for a while. Later, I decided to give it another try. I leveled up a few times outside of a dungeon, but found myself a bit too far from the nearest town. The battle back to the save station was pretty intense because it seemed every two or three steps would launch me into a battle. I managed to survive, make my way back to town, and save the game feeling accomplished. My greatest worry in playing PSII again is that my save file will corrupt like it did last time. I attributed the error to a dirty cartridge and a failed boot-up. So, I'm going to keep the cartridge clean to minimize the risk.

Anytime I tried to do damage, they healed themselves and continued to put a beating on my party. Might and Magic for the Genny's even worse, as there's bees and other groups of enemies that you can encounter that will sting the hell out of one player, then the next bee will finish off that player, then attack the next one in your party, then the next bee will finish that one off, etc., before you even get a turn to retaliate, then your party's wiped out! Can't say I really recommend that game, even though it's a long-playing one.

The good thing about Aladdin for the Genesis is that you can always find it at a good price. My loose copy was only a couple dollars after shipping. As for Might and Magic, I can't say I've ever played it. From the sounds of it, I'm probably better off staying away from it. Phantasy Star II has a lot of the elements that I like to see in RPGs, but I definitely think the enemy encounters could have been improved. There shouldn't be such a large disparity in the difficulty of enemies from one region to the next.

I'd probably just stick with P. Star and the Shining games. Plus you have to have the instructions to M. and Magic too.
