I saw a vectrex mini arcade cabinet in the video game museum at classic gaming expo today and remembered that I had seen one in ohio a few years ago that a friend of mine had found for around $100. Below are pictures I took in July 2012

So those Mini Cades actually had Mine Storm overlays on them?

I wonder how it was time limited. Whether it was a custom cart or whether it was an external mechanism.

I wonder how it was time limited. I think it just gave you some time to play and once that time ran out the game was over unless you kept on feeding it quarters or tokens.

I wonder how it was time limited. Whether it was a custom cart or whether it was an external mechanism. Time limited via a custom external arrangement. There is a special board controlling power to the Vectrex main power input. The board has DIP switches on it. Presumably for different amounts of time per quarter.
