Hi everyone, quick question. I have recently noticed (Especially during Vectrexians) that my horizontal axis towards the top of the screen is slanted going from low to high. After doing some research, I think that this can be adjusted by by tweaking the POT R335 on the logic board. I have some concerns however; 1) I DON'T WANT TO ELECTROCUTE MYSELF 2) How difficult is it to make this adjustment? I don't want to skew the picture even more 3) Has anyone made this adjustment and were they successful? 4) Would a TV repair shop have any clue how to do this if I gave them the manaual? FYI I have the Rev 4 Test ROM that i can use via the VecMulti Cart.
Thanks everyone!

4) Would a TV repair shop have any clue how to do this if I gave them the manaual? Yes, as the Vectrex has many off the shelf components as an old tv, but "old" being the relative term here, as you might have to take it to a few shops before one would take it in and look it over though, much less fix it. That's all I know from these. HEY! There was more than one question!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I was able to adjust the XY axis using the R333 and R335 and it was surprisingly very easy. I even managed to not electrocute myself! I just took off the back cover and used an insulated flat head screw driver while wearing an oven mit to slightly adjust the wheels. I also used the Test Rev. 4 cart to align everything properly.

Glad you repair was successful How many degrees had to spin these pots? (I´m intrigued with these hardware issues)

Glad you repair was successful How many degrees had to spin these pots? (I´m intrigued with these hardware issues) Very little....maybe 10 degrees. Also, the diagonal adjustment which is located on the front of the logic board is very touchy... the slightest turn will make the screen jump to the lower left or upper right very quickly.
