Rmaerz made me think of this, when he posted about the Omega Race cockpit model. I think I did play that after all, now that I think about it... These were pretty cool, to be encased among a gaming environment Tailgunner 2 was kind of odd though: you named it "2" when it wasn't a sequel, just because it was a cockpit model? Ok, whatever Exidy. Subroc 3-D was kind of an unusual game too. It must be kind of surreal to have the cockpit for the very rare Vanguard 2, as I didn't realize until a few years ago when I got the ROM for MAME that it didn't have many sounds, no music or anything. I just didn't realize (or probably remember) that in the only noisy game room I ever saw that at. I could only imagine playing that nowadays in a quiet room where that was the only thing playing. Star Fire was cool with that smoked rear glass (which I should be playing at an expo this weekend ), and you couldn't beat Star Wars. (Hmmm, Asteroids in a cockpit with those thundering EXPLOSIONS when you shot anything...yow!) Never played a Star Trek sitdown modwn though, unfortunately. With controls at each armrest, you probably WOULD really feel like Captain Kirk!
