When I was a kid in the 70's I remember playing Night Driver at the local barber shop (believe it or not). I could usually get a couple of games in while waiting for my Dad to get his haircut. I also played the Atari version but it was not as exciting as, say, Pitfall so it stayed on the bottom of the cart pile for the most part. A hack of the Atari version would certainly be welcome.

Here in Spain the first arcade cabinets came (and kept alive) a few years after than UK or USA, so I had the chance to play the original Night Driver machine, in my first "conscious" years. Like a child, I really loved the cheap recourse of the big car decal I told a time ago about the suitability of this game for a vectrex port, by its simple and fluid gameplay.

Memories waking up screaming playing a horrid car driving game. Was it Night Driver? Not sure but it could have been. The Atari 2600 game was fun till Activision released Enduro. Wonder if Colecovision fans felt that way when Turbo was released? Enduro a fun game but Turbo.
