It's a list, it can have whatever the community wants in it. But it needs parameters, filters and commentary...it need to be an Excel spreadsheet with an Autofilter 😀 And links to the download!
Actually, there is a similar model for this already, it's the Starter page in VIDE, but that really has a different purpose.
IMHO, Vectrex32 games don't run on the standard Vectrex, but a Vectrex user can run them on a Vectrex, so why not include them?

I think I'll just put it at the end under "Vectrex32" and list all the games then. I need to do something else first and then update it all at once though. That's what posts on here are for!

Do Vectrex32 games count? There's Lunar Lander, Missilebreak Outvaders, Vector Gunner, and a beta version of Vecalabeth. Of course they count! All Vectrex titles (not just games) could be listed. But since this list is "games" then add all titles in the list. Even if the require specialized hardware to operate.
Suggest noting the game in line with the rest of the titles but with the required hardware at the end of the line. Some games will run without specialized hardware but loose features (number of levels, high score storage, etc.) so those versions that perform with more features could be included as well. Such as,,, Aklabeth (reuqires Vectrex32 cartridge) Robot Arena (Standalone cartridge Version) Robot Arena (VecFever cartridge Version)
You might even include those titles that use the Vectrex as some sort of display hardware and include the detail for the methods used. Such as,,,
Star Wars (via VecFever cartridge using MAME for Vecfever) Star Wars (direct video display via Zektor board using Vector MAME)

Dark Tower seems to be missing in this really great list.

This is the most comprehensive list I've seen. Thank you to one and all for your efforts thus far.
I hope at some point it will be curated to denote next to each title what is shareware and what is copyrighted, that way we all know where we stand legally and morally.
Cheers.

I'm not really into doing something like that right now, as at the moment there's about to be a huge update (strange how Dark Tower was somehow missed, but it'll be added then), I just need to finish taking some notes on something and send it to someone on here for clarification and then a bunch of missing titles will be added.

I don't see why not (anyone else want to chime in)? I think all games should be included, regardless of whether they can be bought on demand or only run on select cartridges. But then I'm biased as I want you to include Tailgunner which can't yet be bought and only runs on the Vecfever :-) (though Thomas is making 20 stand alone cartridges of it for friends & family - not for sale. I've no doubt one will appear on eBay eventually.) And only existing on some specific cartridge at the moment doesn't rule out anything being ported to some other cartridge later. G PS Since 99% of vectrex releases are games and demos, and there are very few indeed that are not games, I would vote for including them in the database anyway just to make it a definitive source of information and not require someone else to duplicate your effort...

Ok, here's the answer to the huge addition to the games list: vectrex.wikia.com/wiki/Asteroid Cowboy No, don't click on it, it's not an article yet. I'm awaiting word from andyi and Peer on a couple of things about it first (if you're in touch with the programmer, it's usually a good idea to send it to them first in order to correct any errors or if they think something could be worded better or whatnot). I only just realized a few months ago (duh!) that the university course and all the games should be included on the wiki, so I gathered up a bunch of notes and am soon (hopefully, as I got delayed with Vector War) to send that to Peer, then put the page up. Then, once everything looks ok and all, all the games will be added to the first page of this thread, along with the others that are currently missing/new (Player 2, Dark Tower and all).

If you just want to play the games, I highly recommend getting a multicart. You can try the entire library of original games that way.

It also depends on what you're into!

If this ever turns into a database, add fields for the standard md5sum and file length, and an 'equivalent to' link for images that are a base image padded to some other length with either FF or 00 padding. That way if someone has a rom image they can find out the canonical name for it and eliminate duplicates. G

Happy Valentine !! gtoal : Not a full database but we are getting closer. @d-Type: CRC32 checksums are in this list. No MD5 yet. I needed something like that to have an overview of all roms not only games for my emulator. So i started with Malbans VIDE CartridgeProperties.xml file. @malban I hope my extended list is useful for you too, i kept your VIDE specific columns, some of them are hidden. I decided to use Google Sheets instead of Excel because i realized quickly that this list needs your help. I'm focused on free roms. Goal is to have a list with all vectrex related software doesn't matter if its PiTrex, Vectrex32, game, demo, test or an abandoned version i will add filters and single tab views later for each need. Let's start filling this list. !!! This list is far from complete and still misses a lot of roms !!!docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hEd_Ud0EDgGgbYNXu-4-loTkV9cVcJfu1KYjOz-Iez0/edit#gid=1208423132Actually the sheet is readonly+comment but i will grant write access to known persons. I'm located in UTC+1 so expect some delay. Edit: Closed Edit2: Reopened. Warning added

As I stated on here earlier, I need to finish up some stuff with Peer in regards to his Vectrex programming course, which I'll then add all the games his students created throughout the years onto here. I've also been keeping names of missing games on a document on my computer (newer stuff over the last several months) to add onto here as well in one fell swoop.

Sorry it wasn't my plan to hijack your thread or your work. This sheet just already exists because i wanted to gather most free roms. I have seen some want filters and excel style. I was thinking of making own thread with list of "Vectrex roms" not only games but i thought most people were already looking into your thread for this. A lot of roms on your list are at the moment not present in my list. All not free roms for example. On the other hand there are also tools and demos in the sheet. I set the sheet back to private to avoid any conflict.
