When I called a friend of mine up years ago to let him know I had gotten a new game for my Atari 7800, he said "could you imagine us when we're like 70 years old?" (in old man voice) "Hey, I got a new video game." We then improvised a comedy routine right there in regards to not being able to get to the other's room in an old folks' home because our wheelchair had a blow-out, we would get a heart attack when we saw the sexy new nurse in the hall, and other silly stuff. I really don't see myself quitting ever, really. I knew of this one teen on YouTube (we PMed each other for a while when she asked me something about one of my videos but has since deleted her account) who said once that I seemed younger than I really am. I said that was because I'm a teen that has never truly grown up, as I still watch cartoons, play video games, and think about sex a lot Granted, you never know what could happen (hence the "killed by a bus" one), but I doubt this is something I'll ever give up. So, vote and/or explain yourself in a post...fellow vidiots

One of my quirks/failings/qualities?/foibles is I have peaks and troughs with what I do in my spare time. Back to video games after 20 year break... played golf up to age 27, stopped until 40ish, started again (and played better) and now stopped again. Guitar on and off since I was 15 or 16... currently on. I don't do new things. I just revisit old things.

Well that's rather interesting! I never quit playing video games, but I got out of pinball for years. Went back to it during college and never looked back Yeah, sometimes you put things on hold and then go back; I've done that with vinyl record albums and a few other things...

ahhh vinyl records.... I was a huge fan of The Who as a teenager (and went to see them live as a fifteen year old - on my own - as none of my mates liked them). I'd amassed a sizable singles and album collection... rare stuff, old stuff, import 'hard to get hold of's', pic discs etc. etc.. all in tip-top condition, and sold the lot on ebay last year to a German guy living in Marbella (a Spanish island) who was setting up a vintage record shop. I hadn't owned a record player for years and they were sitting in the loft. I had a lump in my throat when they went, I can tell you.

Sounds like they didn't have very good taste I had a lump in my throat when they went, I can tell you. Well, that's kinda wrong. At least you helped out the guy with his shop though.
