A short video of my latest game : "Galaxy Wars : Space Launcher". The video shows Mode B - "Galaxy Wars". The game contains 3 modes of play, Modes B and C are versions of the arcade games "Galaxy Wars" and "Space Launcher" by Universal/Taito and Nintendo respectively. Mode A is "Galaxy Wars : Space Launcher", which alternates levels from both games.

Mode A is "Galaxy Wars : Space Launcher", which alternates levels from both games. Oh, that's good. When I saw the video last night I was wondering what the modes were, as it's good to have something new on the Vectrex of course, but Galaxy Wars could get old by itself (looked ok but it wasn't a big hit; I never saw it anywhere myself).

^I'd never heard of Space Launcher and had to look it up on YouTube as well (as there's not even a screenshot on the klov museum). Funny, it's like Frogger ripped off the gameplay goal of that one (filling up the home bays, but taking away the firepower the player faces).
(EDIT: that was for pucpuc, tbrd just got in his reply right before I did.)

there are many cool variations of the concept. I've played the wiiware version of Frogger a lot. Also the android game Crossy Road is cool.
back to the topic - Its really cool to see remakes of old arcade games on the vectrex. I'm curious about the other levels.

Thanks. Once I've finished this game, I'll be releasing it and then NOX/Death Chase will follow soon afterward.

Crane hadn't actually seen Frogger when he designed Freeway. He based it on some idiot trying to cross the freeway at the 1982 Chicago CES, which is why the original proto of the game has you controlling a human instead. It was changed into a chicken later on in the design. Only right near the end of the programming cycle did he get to play Frogger.

Thanks for your footages of Galaxy Wars. Looks like a nice game.
Initially I didn't understand the gameplay because the big, a bit comic like rocket looked like a manned rocket for space voyagers to me. So the exploding rockets were irritating to me. Then I realized that the rockets is a weapon/drone that you must guide to destroy the aliens at the top of the screen.
Again, thank you for your effort in developing Vectrex games, Chris!

I really like the level title transitions and also the enemies in the middle of the screen, (slow and chubby comets?).
