My wife and I decided to have lunch today at Barney's Beanery at the Redondo Pier. We cruised around the Pier a bit and hopped into the Fun Factory arcade. Low and behold a Pong cabinet sitting right next to the main entrance. It's not playable and I'm not sure if the original guts are still inside but it was cool all the same.

I'm no Pong expert but it seems like they need quite a bit of maintenance. I guess I was pretty lucky the one time I played it at a gaming expo because if I remember correctly a few other times it was there you couldn't play it then.
What else did they have there?

I'm guessing it's been there since they opened. They had a bunch of other cabs but I didn't take pics. There was an original B&W space invaders. I played that. There were also a bunch of lightgun games. Terminator was one of them. There was a Defender and a Simpsons. I remember seeing Ms. Pacman and Ms. Pacman Plus. There was also a Joust but some a guy hogging it.
What suprised me were how there were so many of the original penny arcade games. Like marionette boxes and the like. The kind that inspired Nolan Bushnell to invent Pong.
