Not sure if this is a good place to put this or not but I didn't have much luck on AtariAge yet.
It's time to replace my VCS joysticks. Sad because I love the (rare) ones I've been using and I 've been playing the console almost daily lately. They aren't completely broken yet but I've heard plastic cracking noises in both sticks.
Most 2600 joysticks I've tried are pretty intolerable to me, so I guess I'm looking for something pretty obscure or in high demand.
Really interested in the various ones from Greece that I see on lists (but never see in real life or on ebay).
TG Enjoystick - is what I've been using. Would love more of these.
Competition Pro - never tried but they are endorsed by many on AtariAge. Price ranges from high to ridiculous on US ebay, seems more reasonable internationally.
Tac-2 - also seems endorsed by many. I'd try it.
Epyx 500 ANALOG - 2600 compatible 5200 version with spring centering stick.
xxxx
The TG Enjoysticks I've been using appear to use modified analog stick components. It's very similar to the Vectrex thumbstick, refitted into a more ergonomic handheld enclosure. .. IF THERE IS ANYTHING ELSE OUT THERE LIKE THIS I WOULD LOVE TO TRY IT OUT.
I prefer trading to buying. Open to any ideas and offers. If there's a better marketplace for this out there I'd like to know about that too.

You should look into getting the "forever joystick" from Best Electronics ( linky) It's basically an authentic repro of the original 2600 controller but they re-Engineered the guts with gold contacts and a more durable stuck. It looks, feels and plays like the original. Here's a photo of the one I own: linkyIt costs around $30.00 and you have to call them but totally worth it.

Thanks for the suggestion kokovec. I'm looking for a joystick that I like and enjoy playing with, which I don't think this forever joystick is since I really don't like the original standard Atari joysticks. .. It's probably something I should still pick up anyway though for back up since it is durable and other people expect to see the original joystick and don't know or agree with me that it kind of sucks.

I'm looking for a joystick that I like and enjoy playing with I completely understand. It's more a nostalgia thing for me anyway. They also have an assortment of reconditioned joysticks ( linky). There's a local retro-store near my place that has tons of old joysticks but I find that most of them are defective or broken due their their age and heavy usage.
