I think its pretty cool that everyone who played qualified. Yeah, the first time in V. War history, possibly. If not, I know it's the first I've seen in three years now.

This year was a very tough competition for me. I have qualified quite easily but did not even bother to compete with Coleco, wazzal and Chainsaw, their high scores are spectacular and I admire their play, especially it was astonishing to know that someone has actually completed Dark Tower. I'd definitely check out a video walkthrough, I'm sure it would be fun to watch. Helmut, I'm still waiting for an email from you Thank you for organizing this tournament, it was fun to participate and follow the discussion. I have definitely learned something new about Vectrex this month.

Thanks for hosting the tournament. I had fun and like the format of the tournament with the percentages of your six best ganes. I'd request getting rid of clean sweep for any future tournaments though. After playing it in this tournament I never want to play it again. So repetitive.
Still, I overall enjoyed the tournament and gained some new appreciation of Minestorm and broke in Nels which I still have to beat. Though I was hoping for third I feel good about getting fourth in my first year of the tournament. I've rarely played games competitively but after going for top score in vectrexagon and now this tournament I'm finding it a lot of fun pushing myself to improve in different games.
A lot of respect for the winners, host of the tournament, and anyone who donated prizes. I should be back next year and look forward to playing again.

I'd request getting rid of clean sweep for any future tournaments though. Unfortunately there weren't many originally-released games (which are always included in the contests), so it's going to keep on coming and going throughout the years.

Just had to vent a bit about that game. It starts off fun but gets annoying and repetitive. A modified version of the game could be fun though.

^Agreed on all points I've always wondered why they just gave up on that game. Maybe to get the Vectrex out in time (complete with software) for the Christmas season '82?

Yes everyone, I am alive, and have unfortunately had to miss this year's Vector War and Play Your Vectrex Day due to the perfect storm of difficult life events involving work, life, and family. I had every intention of competing and playing this year like I did last year, but unforeseen events do happen. The good news is that myself and vectorgirl are well and things are starting to calm down. Work has left me very little time to do much of anything as of late, and there has been a sudden illness in my family that required some life-changing planning. I have a few weeks of backlog on these forums as well as Vectrex Fan's Unite, but I'm hoping to catch up soon. I also need to get around to updating my Vectrexagon Hi-score post as soon as I'm able since the scores are pretty out-dated - but it will get done. I hope to be back in full force soon. Thanks to everyone who played during this event! Thanks to the new-comers! Thanks to the returning players! I'm sorry I had to miss it.

Until now only some of the prizes of Vector War VI have been sent out to the winners of Vector War VI. I'm sorry for that and will "fix" this soon.

I'd love a vector war VI t-shirt. I like wearing vector war shirts at gaming conventions as a conversation starter. The next one for me is retroworld which was fun last year. retroworldexpo.com/
