We know (presumably) by typing in 'GAME' into Gravitrex you call up the hidden game. I didn't know, thanks sj. Hey! No hay problema. Cualquier cosa que pueda hacer para ayudar ... I hope that makes sense...

^Not exactly Couple of Gravitrex bits, which I'll get the bad news out of the way first... First off, it looks like a video is a no-go. I messed around with mom's iPad some more yesterday. One of the things I tried was taking off the magnifying sheet and the overlay. I started filming with putting in the code to skip to level 2, and its looking good...hmmm, maybe that did it? But with the first planet I tried filming, everything looked like a bunch of blurry, very bright blobs. You couldn't tell what the hell you were looking at. I'm not doing a video like that. Glip, let me know if there's anything I can do for the focus but I don't think there is; I skimmed through the iPad manual and there's something in regards to turning off the facial recognition feature for photos but I didn't see anything in regards to fine-tuning video unless I missed it. However, I did find out a really cool bug, maybe for the first time this has been found yet, even What you have to do is blow up all planets except for the one in the six o'clock position in a level. Yes, blow up the reactor planet before going here too (I usually save it for last since it can be hard). Blow up the six o'clock planet last. You know how, if you're not careful, you can fly into the sun after destroying that planet? Well yeah, do that. You know the brief cinematic where your ship flies off very quickly and its bigger before the sun goes nova? Well, in this case, your ship will be destroyed, but then it just as quickly reappears, flies by VERY close, slower, and is much bigger than before. You can see more details on it! It's neato. Your lost ship also might not count against you but I'm not 100% sure of that yet. I'll try it again later before confirming.

About two years ago I've played Colourclash really a lot. Each time I played I reached higher and higher scores. After a while I wondered what highscores were possible. I think that 5.300 points is as high as you can get. Here are some hints that to achieve really high scores in Colourclash (slim edition): 1 - No joystick Don't use the joystick for playing, instead use the buttons, only. When using buttons, switching items is faster and more precise. 2 - Play the game a lot Initially, using the buttons is harder than using the joystick. You will have to play the game a lot that you get used to the buttons. Make sure that you learn the order of "colours" by heart. 3 - Don't shoot the crown The special gems are good since you get special points for example. But in fact the crown is a bad gem: Once you have shot the crown, all visible gems will disappear. Right after that, you will encounter a flood of gems all coming in at once. This flood can be quite a challenge and your death. Additionally, none of the gems that have dissappeared will count to your score, so your score per level will be lower when shooting the crown. And a high score per level is very essential because each level the game will get faster and faster. Hope these hints are interesting and help you to list your name and highscore in the Online highscore list of Revival Sudios.

Hmmm. Not sure if I recognize the problem. ... All I can say is to try different lighting scenarios. I want to say that the best set up is to have ZERO DAYLIGHT, but then to add a single lamp close to the screen (positioned in such a way that there is no glare). You might also try reducing the brightness on the Vectrex. There is one semi-adjustable part of the iPad camera. If you point it at your subject and then tap anywhere on the screen, a small square will appear where you tapped, and the camera will adjust to that spot. I believe that sets focus AND exposure to that spot. It is quite imperfect though.

I'll give that a shot then.

Well, it looks like progress is being made! Things seem to work fairly well with just my small lamp on, the brightness turned down, and no overlay (although with the brightness turned down any more I wouldn't be able to see the game with an overlay on, probably!). Bunks, saucers and my ship still came out to be a blur but everything else (score, landscapes) came out fairly clear.
Unfortunately I got a message saying the video was too long to send, and when I tried sending it in pieces, for some reason on Quicktime I got audio, but no video, even though my Quicktime player is supposedly up to date.
So, what's the cut off time for a video being "too long"? I wouldn't have a problem doing it in 5-6 or even 10 minute chunks, since last night's was 22.

You are severely limited with the iPad. "Too long" to email is about 40 seconds. You can break into sections, but this often causes Photos to crash. Also your only option for dividing it is to slide this little bar around in the "score", which is impossible to do precisely. Easiest thing to do is "Publish to Youtube", but that might require you to use your mom's youtube account. Not sure what the time limit is on that. Longest video I've "published" is about 5 minutes. Sometimes i use a video editing App called Video Editor Free. It is pretty decent for free software. ... It has some bigger exporting options, but also glitchy. ... iMovie may have some options, but i don't know bc my iOS is too old to install that app. (Can't update OS bc my macBook is too old to install recent enough iTunes to synch with iPad I think this is called PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE.

Well, sounds like it's a no-go then, since mom doesn't have a YouTube account. Oh well.
Thanks for the help and suggestions thus far.
Back to any (game) tips then!

I'm sure it can be done, you just need to trick the iPad into doing it somehow. The device was not designed to be useful, so you have to get creative sometimes to accomplish simple things.
But yes perhaps you shouldn't start downloading apps and adding accounts to her device. In any case it might be too much trouble atm.

But yes perhaps you shouldn't start downloading apps and adding accounts to her device. I'm not. I would say about all else I'm going to do with it is to playtest the upcoming Vectrex app, as I told the Vectrex Regeneration guys I'd have an iPad to do some testing with it, but if it really is coming out at the end of the month they might not need me after all. And I just add, then delete my e-mail account to it as it is since my e-mail account shows up when you click on the e-mail icon, which I don't like. That's stupid!

Yeh too bad about the Gravitrex video for now.
... That Vectrex app looks really cool. I saw some promo photos recently where it was running and displaying on an iPad, but then using an iPhone as a controller. Really cool imitation of the original, if you have both devices (I don't). ... Also saw it is supposed to work with the iCade peripheral. ... Unfortunately I have the Atari Arcade, which ONLY works with the Atari Greatest Hits app. ... Can't see myself buying another iPad controller peripheral, (and I can't trade away the Atari one bc it was a gift).
... Back to the hints and tips - Has anyone ever gotten 21 trophies in Web Wars? If so, was it worth the effort? Is there any payoff? Cool ending? Is the last trophy super excellent? How did you do it?
