(The exclamation mark isn't mine, ok?) Found this game the other night, definitely for left/right/thrust/fire fans... In this game, a distress signal was received from a mining station and you must investigate what happened. You start off the game on a landing pad and must fly around and land on another one (landing anywhere else during a level will destroy your ship). So, simple enough. It's a bit surreal and odd with the graphics, having little machines and all that remind me of Sub-Terrania for the Sega Genesis a little. One level has a message saying that the entire place was corroded and decaying, like an accident occurred, plus the dreary music adds to that effect. I had figured that some big reveal at the end would explain it but no such luck when you beat the game, although on the official site there's 16 additional levels that can be purchased with a GameSafe account (whatever that is). A couple other levels are more whimsical, having these corridors with debris coming out of one funnel-like object and then flying into another. A bit of fun trying to fly through that so you can make it to the next landing pad. Simple and interesting. creativesparkstudios.com/spacemadness/index.html
