I wonder how history will remember the Billy Mitchell exposé now that Guinness has reinstated his high scores. www.theverge.com/2020/6/19/21296819/guinness-world-records-billy-mitchell-pac-man-donkey-kong-scores-reinstatedThough this is a victory for him, Twin Galaxies is still holding fast to their decision, so I wouldn't go so far as to say that Billy has totally cleared his name. At this point, I think too much damage has been done to his image for him to regain the respect of the competitive gaming community. Most people value action over words; rather than contest his scores in court, he should pick up a controller and show the world that he's as great as claims to be.

Well put, as I think it's ridiculous for Guinness to reinstate his record. Casual fans are still behind Billy though, as a guy on bigballofyarn's forum, just this last week, deleted an account of his (Twitter?) because he he stated a fact about Billy and a bunch of Billy's fans couldn't handle it and retaliated pretty big time. Wah.

It is my understanding that he played the game again and showed that he can achieve the score, with witnesses.

I have, I was given 3 bottles of various types when I attended a Twin Galaxies gaming event at Fun Spot in about 2007 that he was also at.
It was really good, both the event and the sauce!
