I've had some moderate interest in creating reproduction Vectrex overlays. They've been on eBay and I put up a site at www.vectrexoverlays.com where you can get bulk discounts for order groups of them. Any requests on overlays I don't have? Ideas for new overlays? Please let me know! Attachments:

As a side note...I have repros of all the original Vectrex games and have been creating new overlays for home brew games that never had them in the first place (see image in post above).

Any requests on overlays I don't have? Ideas for new overlays? Please let me know! (Without wanting to sound repetitive... ) How about a plain colour overlay that you could put on and forget about? (For those among us - possibly only me - that want an overlay, but don't want to keep swapping one over every two minutes.)

I moderately concur sj. Single plain color is going overboard in my opinion. But two or three colors, with a solid opaque border, something like Scramble or Pole Position, without the logos or any text, would seem quite useful to me.

Are you there, Omeganu? What do you think of that idea?

I also like the opaque grid aspect on the Minestorm overlay. Single color transparencies, with contrasting opaque color border, then minestorm grid, or different size grid, or even a different opaque geometric pattern (for example grid of hexagons or triangles) could be cool too. Perhaps easier to produce than the Scramble-like overlay because less colors, especially if plastic sheet material is available that is already tinted a nice color. Just print a red border on the front of a green sheet, then opaque the border and a grid on the back side with white.
I'm actually working with a creative screen printer local to me, trying to figure out how to produce quality Vectrex overlays. We'd be interested in producing something like this if we figure it out. Like I mentioned in my other thread, it would be very helpful if we could get some damaged GCE overlays to experiment printing over top of.
