It could end, if the player falls down. Maybe with 3 lives, because in the more difficult levels, it can be difficult to even stay alive, or someone could move to a position where it is no back without falling down. The score would need to be positive then: Maybe 999 - moves per level. 999 is also the maximum number of moves, after this it doesn't count more moves anymore, so lowest possible score would be 0.
