Fruktodlaren (77,10%) Top four ranking didn't change but jbrodack got close to fruktodlaren . ___ fmml : Thank you for your hint, I've moved the Spike score to Star Hawk. Should be correct, now. Damn I'm getting close to that third spot. Need to get blitz working and see what scores I can improve.
Thanks for the updated binaries. I'm impressed with the student games. Definitely good choices for the competition.

Found some time to play various games. Could improve my Asteroid Cowboy score quite a bit - the game is really fun. Catching the asteroids is a bit like tidying up the screen from scrap. Good to have a short serenade variation of the known song back in Floor Is Lava. And taking pictures of the highscore is so much easier. Star Hawk: 249800 (No joke, I lost concentration 2 seconds before reaching the upper limit of 250000...) I'm wondering, if Coleco1981, Rapetou33, Lady Eklipse or wazzal will also join this year... It's already Tuesday... I'm missing these guys :-)  |

Highscore list has been updated. hcmffm (me) has qualified. Ranking: 1. Chainsaw (100,00%) 2. Malban (99,98%) 3. jbrodack (66,73%) ___ Wow, what a fight! The current difference of Chainsaw and Malban is 0,02 % - my spreadsheet has rounding problems and says 100% for both in various cells. As Malban wrote - it get's harder and harder to set the high scores even higher. jbrodack : The new high scores were in favour of you - you are third, now. ... I'm wondering, if Coleco1981, Rapetou33, Lady Eklipse or wazzal will also join this year... It's already Tuesday... I'm missing these guys :-) Same here. I've contacted coleco1981 before the Vector War and wazzal on Monday, but no replies.  |

Edit: wait, why did I complain? Somehow my raking went up with the last round of submitted scores so I'm happy.

I feel I must drop a hint about "Release". Otherwise the scores will not be really "comparable". In the instruction it says, there are several options to do "high scores". And I only explain one - and left the rest as an excercise for the reader... but within a competition it might be an unfair advantage to not at least give a very detailed hint about another method (a better hint than in the instruction).
Further down it says: "If the mystery is destroyed before touching the base, you are nonetheless awarded a bonus score (variable)."
The all important word in that sentence is "variable". The more directly consecutive "?" are destroyed the more points you get for destroying it.
I have done a video last year, which shows a highscore in access of 500,000 points ... which uses that "technique"
In my games (at least the newer once) look out for a Pacman, a Worm and a Ghost...
