I'm happy with my standing now but I have a feeling scores will change a lot before the Vector War ends.

Player: Fruktodlaren Spike: 19400 Star Hawk: 57700 Web Wars: 14 Pole Position: 42470 Release: 50196 (I was so eager to write my initials that I pressed button 4 and entered my score as the default TOM. But you can see that the entry TOM has a score that is not part of the default high score list. It is OK with me if this entry is not accepted)

Highscore list has been updated. 1. Chainsaw (100,00%) 2. Malban (99,98%) 3. jbrodack (72,39%) 4. Fruktodlaren (59,50%) 5. fmml (55,99%) 6. VectorX (53,64%) 7. nexus6 (48,98%) 8. hcmffm (48,49%) 9. 50tbrd (46,80%) 10. SiLic0ne t0aD (34,27%) 11. Len (29,22%) 12. D-Type (25,40%) 13. darrin9999 (23,50%) 14. Moyu (20,39%) ___ High scores get even higher. Looks like coleco1981 and wazzal won't show up this year. The competition has a bit the character of a duel: Chainsaw versus Malban. VectorX: Do I understand right: After all those years of Vector War and your good rankings you write that you don't like cramming and rather take it easy in the Vector War?! I wonder what scores you would get if you put effort into playing... fruktodlaren: Well played! Your "Release" score is o.k..

ChainsawBug: The diving platforms (level 9?) - when they are not visible other displayed vectorslists are garbled. But the game does not crash, just looks "bad". I'll pause today - and tomorrow I'll do another spike "hunt" :-)

When exactly does the new "Source code" appear? Not that I make some scores and they are invalidated because of the wrong word :-)

Greetings to all you Vector War Players, I can only repeat, it is truly great to see you playing Asteroid Cowboy and Floor is Lava! This is the ultimate kind of game testing I could have ever dreamt of for our programming class Malban has emailed me regarding the newly discovered bug in Floor is Lava, but I found his message only this morning because I had to attend meetings until late at night yesterday. I will get in contact with Volcanus, and we will see what we can do about it. With only 180 hours at hand for the classroom projects, there was not much room for testing. We did our best and as much in-house testing as we could, but it is rather likely that there are more bugs to be discovered. And as every programmer knows, cross-team testing or external testing usually detects much more bugs than testing your own software by yourself. So please let us know about any issues you possibly run into. Also, I guess the students would love to read your thoughts about their games. Whether you like them, or whether you are cursing them for being too difficult Personally, I am impressed with the outcome of the projects, considering that the students started with zero knowledge about the Vectrex. In fact, none of them had ever heard about that console before. I am already thinking about next year’s class, which – if everything goes fine – will start by the end of March, and I wish we could then have some kind of beta testing of the projects just like it is going on now in the Vector War. So, if anybody out here is interested in acting as an external early-alpha and beta tester for next year's Vectrex projects, please get in touch with me, and I'd be happy to add you to our team
Cheers, Peer
