I try to stay local that way if other collectors are around they can hopefully get what they want and I can get what I want.

:oFound out McVan's Video Game Trade chain of three stores is closing in Fort Wayne, Ind. Tried the ebay store and it is down. Not sure about the Indy store. I heard it is because of a lack of traditional gamers. The store chain slogan was Buy em, Beat em, Trade em. Maybe to many people were renting from Netflix or just keeping what games they had. Just do not know! They had been open since the early 90's and always had a good selection of games. But now pickens in my area is going to be limited. So I guess now I really have no choice but to move to Europe so I can continue to game. Maybe London is nice this time of year.

The store chain slogan was Buy em, Beat em, Trade em. That's clever! They had been open since the early 90's and always had a good selection of games. That might've been the problem, that they weren't able to adapt. Look at how many decades Sears has been around and they could disappear for good in the next couple of years (as many are predicting). Sorry to hear about that. I just had a bit of a gaming loss myself with some old forums being replaced, wiping out years of history. Even though the place was overrun by spambots and the like it seemed like such a waste.

Now charity shops - that's a different matter. Or pound shops. Or empty shops. And the weather is crappy at the moment as well.

Plus you call 'em "car boot sales" too, right?

A great British institution, the car boot sale. Usually costs more to get in than you actually end up spending with the traders. You have about a 1 in 5000 chance of actually getting something of use/value/interest, or that you don't regret buying as soon as you get home. That's if you make it home before you evacuate your bowels as a result of the burger you just ate. Fun fun fun.
