I have the feeling that the Star Trek/Star Ship maximum score is too high It does take a while to get there. Perhaps it could be lowered to 450,000 with the next contest in a few years. Also, in the second chart (I think it is), you have me listed for Veccy Bird and Vec-Man, neither of which I've played (yet!).

Puhh, yes as Coleco said, I'm also getting old... Didn't got 500'000 in Star Trek at my first try, and I don't want waste time to play it again for 1 or 2 hours... (OK, it's not waste of time, but I don't like playing this game so long, maybe other players like it more)

Cosmic Chasm 69255
Actually I was wrong, it is quite playable after some tries :-). But haven't got time left to do a 1. place... One does get better over time - but doubling that score today is not possible :-) 2048 - 13576
Dark Tower: 4550
My first and only game :-) (Lets play them all!)
Veccy Bird 16 Actually I am quite proud of myself, getting 16!
Berzerk! 12960
Thats it - unless I get an itch to play VecMan with all the new features tonight... this will be my final update.
I think I played them all now!
Cheers Malban

Malban wrote: "Cosmic Chasm - I don't really like the drill/wall detection" Malban, maybe this helps you to make the drilling much easier: I try to describe as good as possible: Hold button 3 (Thrust) and fly to the closed wall without releasing button 3. Press button 1 for drilling (and keep button 3 pressed). A very short time, before you hit the wall, release the button 1 (drill) and press button 2 (shield). Because the drill ist still "drilling" a short time after releasing button 1, you will drill through the wall. Note: Only at the beginning of the game in the first cave / at the first wall, and in rare times later during the game, your ship will bounce off the closed wall 2 or 3 times without open it. But after this bouncing situation, all other walls will open immediately with this drilling tactic. (In theory, you even don't need the shield, it's enough to release the button 1 before you hit the wall, and sure you must hit the wall then before the drill stops... BUT: If the bouncing-of-the-wall effect appears again later in rare times, it's always better to activate the shield...) This helps in later missions to be faster in the caves, when the middle core "grows" very fast. I get often until mission 8, one time I managed it to mission 9 but then the center core grows too fast / game is near unplayable then. You see this tactic in my (very very old) Youtube Video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThsJKRKC0gcEdit: I published this to help all players who are drilling "carefully" at every wall. I think the main difficulty of the game remains the enemies and later the fast growing cave cores.

Highscore list has been updated. Current top 3 ranking: 1. Malban (600pts) 2. limitzer0 (517pts) 3. arquillos (512pts) Malban is still in the lead. limitzer0 and arquillos are close together. ___ VectorX : No idea where those two scores (Veccy Bird and Vec-Man) came from. I've removed them. Thank you for this hint! Malban : Congratulations to your Berzerk highscore. That one will be hard to beat. And: You really played all 12 games, now. 8-Bit Waves and @munch: Great that you completed Veccy Bird! Thank you (and Brett) for the video of the game's ending - the fireworks at the end look really cool! Make sure to leave a note for mikiex, the author in topic Veccy Bird.

D-Type : our first game of 2048!? Hands down - I'm very impressed! Not quite, it's my first and only game of 2048 in VW9. I've played it a handful of times on VecFever maybe a few months ago and on my phone over a few weeks last year. I also ported a version written in Forth from RosettaCode to the Vectrex - runs but still WIP.

Hyperchase 122.5By the way, my pics are better this year, as for the most part I'm using a phone for them, rather than the over 20 year old digital camera where I have to put my hand in front of the flash to cut down on the glare

Gads, from a game needing nerves of steel (Hyperchase) to wings of steel! Veccy Bird 6Then my only game of Vec-Man ran over half an hour! Vec-Man 36
