Kind of an unusual title. I just downloaded this demo for my Chromebook, but it's also available for the pc, PSVita and iOS for only $3.99. I might get the full game at some point.
I don't know how many arcade/shooter/dungeon crawlers there are out there, but yeah, this one can get intense.
As the norm, you get four characters to choose from (wizard, Valkyrie, warrior and elf, with a fifth available if you make it to level 30), each with their own strengths and weaknesses, magic power, etc. Dungeon levels are randomly generated. You walk around and shoot, defeating enemies that way, although shots are automatically targeted. Defeated enemies usually drop gold or something but they disappear quickly, so you have to grab that asap if you can (there can be a lot of enemies around in bunches at times).
You can get a quest where you have a certain amount of time to achieve a goal (gather a certain number of objects or kill a certain number of creatures) and you'll get an item to help you out if you make the goal, along with there being various timed power-ups that will also enhance your shooting ability and all as well.
It's got a sense of humor too, such as during the intro where a king or someone is talking to all of the characters, which one of them falls over as they gather around the king. You might run across people in cages, which, again, during a cutscene one of them asks for your help in getting out. One of the characters replies by asking "do you have a key?" Also, once you beat the fourth level on the demo for the first time, another cutscene with the king states that thanks to you, the dungeon has become more expanded and dangerous. A character replies back with "cool! Wait...what?" (Check out the trailer video in the link on the official page at the end of this post, it's also funny!)
The graphics are pretty bad but the music's pretty good and the action can be intense. The power-ups just start automatically working when gathered but I don't know what the potions do or how to get them to work. (Maybe the full game has instructions?)
Definitely check out the demo for free and the full game isn't much.
