Greetings everyone, ok, I might have found a solution. Please try this link: The solution is, let us say, a bit "creative". {Spoiler} I will not go into the details here as the solution is probably not exactly what this thing was originally intended for... I have not yet resurrected the 2016 – 2018 galleries, because this solutions makes it necessary to copy and then manually patch each and every html file. But if the whole thing turns out to work, I will do so in the future. If you are using any direct links to one of our pages on your own website, please update accordingly (and if you know of someone who does so as well and is not aware of the old dead links, please relay this information to them). The update is necessary only for links to the html pages, not for links to the game data (roms, overlays, manuals, videos). Those links should still work. Please let me know if you spot any mistakes, inconsistencies or dead links (except for those to the not yet existing elder galleries). Many "cheery" Cheers, Peer A cursory check shows I can see most pages and elements. Some issues exist. e.g. Project: VECTROID Project Page: eitidaten.fh-pforzheim.de/daten/mitarbeiter/johannsen/vectrex_2019/gallery/vectrex_game_vectroid.htmsection: Concept Art and Screenshots Element: Graphic "vectroid_1.png" Location on page in the section: Third line, Left column Target URL: eitidaten.fh-pforzheim.dahttp//eitidaten.fh-pforzheim.de/daten/mitarbeiter/johannsen/vectrex_2019/gallery/vectroid_5.pnge/daten/mitarbeiter/johannsen/vectrex_2019/gallery/vectroid_1.pngClick Result: Missing image. Repeatable issue: Yes Will check the rest out as I have time.

Ouch, looks like a bad case of "regexp-search-and-replace gone wrong"
Fixed. Should work now. Many thanks for spotting and reporting this!

Hello Peer,
I've tried out the link and it works like a charm and without any problems. Also, I did a full compare of the old webpages (copy) and there are some differences between the old and the new site which I'll report to you directly. Thank you for finding a solution to share future contents and thank you for your effort in
Best regards,
Helmut
PS: For some reason I don't know the website loads at a very low transfer rate (~24KiB/s).

Hi Helmut,
many thanks for testing. I do not experience any network performance problems. Could you please check this again? Does anybody else have slowly loading pages?
Cheers, Peer

Rest of the site looks okay from a content availability viewpoint. Nothing missing.

The only issue I do have with this new link is that I can no longer download some of the project resources. E.g. the Vectrex Academy Game Project Template and Demo, the programming manuals etc. The site is asking for a user name and password.

Sorry for not reporting in ealier. This is maybe not the right place to post this, but since I am only hijacking my own thread, this place is as good a place as a separate thread.
The new semester is starting next Monday, but due to the Corona Pandemic it was decided that all classroom lectures are cancelled until (for now) April 20th. We teachers are asked to provide online courses and online teaching wherever possible. These directions came in just 24 hours ago, so right now everything is going a bit helter-skelter (like probably in many other places as well). Currently nobody knows if we will be able to go back to normal after that date.
This will also affect my 2020 Vectrex class, which was supposed to start next week. I am trying to find a way and some ideas how to be able to still offer this course. If possible at all, it will certainly be different than the last years, with one of the main attractors for the students gone, i.e. being able to work on a real Vectrex console.
For the next days I have to focus on my other lectures, but I will keep you posted in matters of the Vectrex course.
Many (once again not so cheery) Cheers, Peer

... though still a bit tentative, here is some good news:
It looks like the 2020 Vectrex Academy, despite the current situation, is actually going to happen...
I'll soon post more.
Cheers, Peer

Sorry to hear about this, but glad to see a solution forming! These project pages and your dedication to teaching Vectrex programming are a real treasure for the Vectrex community. Another idea for sharing the projects: which might be difficult at first but is a nice option I think is to use Git and www.github.com. You could create a new base project each year, that students could fork and start their work in. There would be placeholders for all of the parts that make up the game, overlay and presentation of the project. Each student could then also add a license for their work (just because it's public on Github doesn't mean it's in the public domain, but the source code would be open and viewable). The forks would be discoverable because Github links everything together, but the main account would be yours and you could accept pull requests from your students to update a table of contents for all new projects. Github also allows for a very nice presentation of the information with Github Pages pages.github.com It allows your source version controlled files to have a nice front end website of your choice and it doesn't have to be fancy... just a static website. You could mirror the formats you have on your University site there. This might seem like a lot of work for the students, but once you have the template defined it should be pretty much copy/paste/edit. If this is something you'd be interested in, I'd offer my help in getting it set up. Maybe it could be ready for 2021 to ease the pressure of setting up a new tool. Getting experience with Git and Github early in a Software Developer's career is also a really great thing
