there is no such concept in america, maybe just basic: not drunk. tipsy/buzzed, drunk, puking or blacked out.
or does this refer directly to "blood alchohol volume" which the cops use to arrest you for?

Honestly, do me a favor, and read through the manual. I put a lot of work in that. Other than spotting hints, you might even enjoy the background story of the game  |

How does USA Zombie Apocalypse scoring work for VW? Is beating the game the max goal (My preference) or highest score along with beating the game?
Getting a high score would require a ton of play throughs due to the randomness.
Anyone else with USA ZA have a preference?

Of course it is!  VectorX : I'm in contact with Sven ( keith ), the beer guy. He's VERY dedicated to the Vectrex and I guess there will be an additional Vector War prize, soon. That's good. And along with the wooden spoon, it's another different VW prize! |

Since I was asked this offline, I think it is only fair to share this here for all players. Here are some (strategic) hints regarding the Gyro* games: - Try to obtain weapon power-ups (double shot, laser) and possibly a shield power-up as quickly as possible.
- Do not necessarily start at the default constellation (Ursa Major / Capricorn), but select a different one and try to figure out which constellations are the easy ones where power-ups can be easily obtained, and which are the hard ones. Tackle the latter once you have upgraded your ship.
- At any time, you can switch between constellations by using the VIDE-escape (buttons 1 + 2). If your ship is in danger, abort the current level and go back to an easy constellation and collect life power-ups.
- In combat, try to keep your ship moving at all times.
- Cank up the brightness knob at the console back a bit so that you can see all the details at the Center of the screen in order to have a better 3d effect and spot enemies earlier.

Pole Position: 74650 Scramble: 145140 Solar Quest: 191400 Star Trek: 312600 Tour de France: 01:05:46 Webwars: 20* Big Blue: 4 Get the beer: 5 PS: On the preview pictures, not all scores are clearly shown, just click on the pictures to see "full size" if necessary.         * About Web Wars: I caught 22 creatures / trophies, because the game is not ending after 20. The counter in the program continues to increase after 20 and fetches scrap data from some memory area. The 21st creature is invisible, the 22nd creature is shown as a flickering line in the trophy room, which is visible on the image. I propose we stop at 20 and count that as the maximum score, because otherwise everyone who reaches more than 22 would have to describe exactly which graphic artifacts are which creature. (If everybody agrees to count 20 as maximum? - If not, clear pictures and descriptions of the creatures above 20 must be done...) Also note, that in the European Web Warp version, creatures 22-25 are visually different from those in the USA versions. So I wrote 20 as score in my score list. :-) |

My preference would be just to complete the game (3 nukes), because that alone can take up to an hour, but it can also be pretty quick. To get a really high score though, it would definitely take a VERY lucky seed that resulted in lots of extra ammo to get you all of the way through all 50 states, and then and only then on the last 3 states give you the nukes. I can possibly see another way to do it, but with the random glitches for shooting in the game, and very poor ammo drops, it's going to take forever to get a high score... if it's even possible to be strategic about it as well. As mentioned, the ammo drops are far and few between, so it seems pretty unlikely that you'd be able to be strategic about it.
