You might want to reconsider the maximum score of Star Trek/Ship being dropped to 450,000. That's what several of us commented on the last time it was played.
For those that can get that high 50,000 isn't that much of a difference, plus it saves some time.
EDIT: that was intended for Helmut's last post, which gauze just beat me to.

Hello together. Great to meet some of you here again. What a coincidence. Time passed this year even faster than the years before. Yes, I know, physically this is impossible... But it felt like it. Because someone asked me a question about Mine Storm, I happened to log in here again. And what do I see, the Vector War starts in a few hours... I don't have much time, but there are some of my favorite games, and I will participate again. I wish everyone a lot of fun and good luck in this year's Vector War.

A good suggestion, Darryl. I've just lowered the threshold to 300.000 - please let me know in case this should be too low. Hello together. Great to meet some of you here again. What a coincidence. That's really quite some coincidence. Great that you intend to participate, again, Stefan! Actually, I planned to "ping" all players of last year but I didn't find to do so. Good that coincidence lead you here. I will try to participate this year! Great, Darrin! Another Vector War veteran.

Following question is mainly directed towards Brett ( playvectrex ) and Tony ( fruktodlaren ): Last year I've decided to award the wooden spoon prize to the second last adult player. Reason behind the addition "adult" is that I think that children might not understand the fun/intention behind the wooden spoon prize and are even disappointed. Should we stick to the addition "adult" or change the rule to just "second last player (regardless whether it's an adult or non-adult player)"? I've asked my kids what they both think, and they'd like to be able to win the spoon prize... but if there was another way to win it besides being second to last, it could be more inclusive for all players. What if instead of second to last, it was a random prize for the lower 10 players? Or something like that.

Vector War XI has started, now. I wish everyone be it new or veteran players, young or old, much joy, excitement, and fun within the coming seven days of the 11th Vector War! Good luck! First score code is "Jana" valid till Wednesday.

VectorX : Could you please move all posts in topic Vectrex Tournament: Vector War XI (30th Oct - 6th Nov 2021) into this topic except the initial topic and all topics starting from my post "Vector War XI has started, now. ..." till the end? How does USA Zombie Apocalypse scoring work for VW? Is beating the game the max goal (My preference) or highest score along with beating the game? Thank you for raising this question, Nathan. I don't own USA Zombie Apocalypse so rely on your descriptions and suggestions.
Personally, I think there shouldn't be too much randomness. From what I read in Brett's desciption, finishing the game depends on finding the three nukes and that is pretty random. A possible alternative would be setting a maximumg score, e.g. 800 or 1000 points. Which of these to options do you prefer? Other suggestions?

I think beating the game OR highest score if you don't beat it would make sense. Maybe beating the game is worth 5,000 (not sure what the max high score without beating it is.) and if you don't then whatever your highest score is? Something like that.
Beating the game is random but doable in an hour or so. If you had to go for the high score along with beating it (taking longer to find the nukes to do more levels which is totally random) then it would take many hours of grinding.

During playing for 1 hour, I never got over 50 zombies before I ran out of ammo. So if you say 50 plus nukes plus the win, that's 50 x 10 + 100 x 3 + 500 = 1300. I've beat the game (found all three nukes) with a score of 1260 and also 990! 5000 seems pretty impossible to reach, but some screen shots could prove me wrong

Ok I guess the game is random. Found all 3 nukes in probably less than 10 minutes. Score Was 1170. Kind of dissapointed when the game ended as I was chasing the 2000 score.
The ending animation was pretty cool though. 😎
Not sure which way to count is appropiate for the tournament. I have no preference at this point.
Its 1am, good night people.

Hmm, difficult to say what is best in this case. Ok I guess the game is random. Found all 3 nukes in probably less than 10 minutes. Score Was 1170. Kind of dissapointed when the game ended as I was chasing the 2000 score. ... playvectrex got 2000 points because he "won". His actual score was lower. I think beating the game OR highest score if you don't beat it would make sense. I like the idea that you get e.g. 5000 points for winning/beating the game (="You won") and in all other cases the highscore is your score. But this would mean quite a bit of randomness. The other option would be to use the highest score but if I understood right this would also mean randomness, right? ATM, I tend to go for the "xxxx" points for winning/beating the game. Agreed?

playvectrex - web wars - 16 playvectrex - get the beer - 5 BTW, I got to level 7 (which I guess is drunkenness 1 level 2) on Get The Beer and it only said level 5 so I reset it... I thought I noticed a few times it reported the wrong level. So then I was resetting it every play to make sure it wasn't messed up. Something to look out for ;-) Thank you for this hint, playvectrex. Can other players confirm this? What is the maximum level with drunkenness 0?

We have all actually "Won" I believe except SiliconToad. You can see in the pictures you get 500 points for winning. It sounds like you were already doing what I was requesting but may not have realized others have won. Winning isn't as random as getting a high score which is extremely random (which basically also requires winning if that makes sense ).

Yeah, the Drunkenness showed 0 for me at one point when I should have been Drunkenness 1. Then when I beat it it showed 0 as well. I'm not sure what the later would normally show.
