I updated the pictures of my collection. I had purchased a lot of rare items and also got a hold of a lot of like new original GCE games. The condition of the overlays is insane. tbone1892001.wix.com/my-vectrex#!original-games/cq09

Possibly just slow server or a lot of usage on the WIX site. I had trouble when I was updating but now it seems fine.

Tony has an awesome collection, just fantastic.
I received one of my personal holy grails a few weeks ago. ZANTIS! One of the best Vectrex games ever made, imo. I just love it. Much kisses to the guy who sended it to me. You know who you are ;-)

Very nice collection Centaura... What are those three fascinating things in the upper self? They are part of other hobbies: A pair of VFD handhelds I love a lot: Galaxy II (Galaxian style) and Firefox-7 or Astro Thunder (one of the last examples of this technology, with amazing stereo sounds and colorful lights) At right the 1972 super mini TV Sharp 3S 111WAt first I bought it to fit with a Sinclair ZX80; but it´s a museum piece itself, very rare to see so clean and in fully working state Astro Thunder has recently caught my interest. Is it as cool as it looks in the gameplay videos on youtube? A couple others I am interested in recently are Bambino Boxing and Matell's Star Hawk.

In 2011 desfeek posted this video here about his Vectrex Distributer´s case. I have never seen another one until recently when I saw one for sale. It wasn´t advertised as something special "just" as a vectrex with case, games and overlays. The pictures showed a case exactly like in desfeeks video just with the foam removed. You could see the vectrex was a GCE model with GCE controller (I am located in Germany). The cartridges were partly GCE and partly MB. One of the games included was Minestorm II. Luckily I was able to agree on a price with the seller. I picked it up locally and of course I asked questions about this special vectrex. The guy who was selling it wasnt at home when I picked it up. I met his wife, a woman in her sixties and his daughter probably about forty years old. They were surprised when I told them their vectrex was special. They said they got it back in the day and the woman also told me that her husband used to work in the "toy industry". At this point I was pretty confident that the story desfeek was told that these cases were used by MB representatives to prromote the vectrex was true. I mailed the guy later in the hope he could give me additional information. He replied, this is the interesting part: When you look at desfeek´s video you get the idea how the case looks like. Mine has the foam removed (I guess because it was annoyingly crumbly). The unit itself was modified with a 220V power supply that fits german sockets. The sticker that normally shows the serial# was removed, the checksum is B796. Obviously I am happy with it and I am looking forward refurbishing it - like remove the rest of the foam and put some black fabric where the foam used to be. Also I will try to hunt down fitting keys, mine came without.

Astro Thunder has recently caught my interest. Is it as cool as it looks in the gameplay videos on youtube? A couple others I am interested in recently are Bambino Boxing and Matell's Star Hawk. The gameplay of Astro Thunder is one of my favorites, beside another great VFD tabletop: Star Force. The complexity of enemy paths, and the long time for do a complete game deserve the effort to get them. I had the Bambino Boxer twin brother, when child: the Bambino Space Laser Fight; really a nice game, playing against another human, over all.
