Dragonstomper is exactly that, a stomper! It is a hard game to complete. I should give it a try with that read through.

Yeah it tells you exactly how to beat it--what spells you need and all--although sometimes the dragon's magic will cancel at least one of them. And have enough money to hire all three men in town as well.

Cool! Hopefully I get to beat it!

I really want one of these even more. That Frogger looks amazing.
I very happy when I seen Excalibur. But it was not the one I used to play on the Atari computers.

You can find them on ebay but they are getting pricy. They really are well worth it but if you can't get one, you can always play the games through emulation. Stella is able to handle all the Supercharger titles. Excalibur may have had its name changed to Dragonstomper due to legal issues with the Excalibur name. I don't know, just speculating. After all, if Atari chased them about Asteroids, they may have chosen to chase them about Excalibur.

Excalibur that I played was about the sword and the Knights of the Round Table.
I have almost bid a couple of times but it was always above my price range.

The cheapest one I see now is one for $69 with BIN. There is one for bids at $49.

They really are well worth it but if you can't get one, you can always play the games through emulation. Stella is able to handle all the Supercharger titles. Did they ever get around the randomization problem though? Because with Escape from the MindMaster and Dragonstomper, various things are always found in the same places (like all the peg pieces in MindMaster are always in the same places in mazes, for instance). That takes the enjoyment out of those games some.

I've never tried those on the emulator, so I do not know. Sorry. Stella is up to version 3.7.1, so that issue may have been solved.

I hope so. I know that with D.stomper you always always ALWAYS got attacked by a slime (I think) first thing right off. That got boring. I never played M. Master on the emulator though but that's what other people posted on forums.

Well, I've been doing an inventory of all my games, controllers, etc. I found the instructions for the Stella Has a New Brain CD and, guess what? I have version 2.0 of the CD, which contains the extra stuff. So, here are the extra titles I have: - Meteroid - Excalibur - SoundX - Oystron - OystronX - Mondo Pong - INV - Okie Dokie - This Planet Sucks - "Atari 260" by the Splitsville (music)

I hadn't heard of SoundX. What's that one?

I hadn't heard of SoundX. What's that one? According to the manual it is a program that lest you test the sound capabilities of the 2600.

Ah, so not necessarily Starpath-related then.
There aren't really many unfinished games of theirs floating about, is there? It was a shame for them to come out right before the crash with such an innovative product...they didn't have much of a chance...

No, not a new game, unfortunately. Yes, the SuperCharger gave new life to the 2600. There is a lot that could have been done game-wise using this device. It's too bad that no homebrewer actually has made a game for the SuperCharger.
