I am following this one too. Can you imagine? The owner of both the boxed Vectrex and the game had no clue what they were selling. Bless his heart! If this is true, a boxed Vectrex with a boxed copy of Mr. Boston were sold for all of $20!

The pic is up now as his avatar unless he just swiped it from somewhere else.
Pretty crazy Vec pics though in the thread, with the foreign boxes and all!

My suspicious antenna is buzzing a bit. Doesn't the story sound a little too cheesy? Soon find out I s'pose.

My suspicious antenna is buzzing a bit. Doesn't the story sound a little too cheesy? Soon find out I s'pose. Well, it is plausible. There are folks who have no clue what they are selling when they sell this stuff. We just need some sort of evidence to know it is true.

Well, it is plausible. There are folks who have no clue what they are selling when they sell this stuff. I think these days with internet auction sites and the like, that is happening much less. Antenna still thrumming...

Well, it is plausible. There are folks who have no clue what they are selling when they sell this stuff. Yep, hence my Genesis/other stuff/Targus bag for only $20 last year and the boxed 32X for only $2 this year. Pretty nuts.

The pic is up now as his avatar unless he just swiped it from somewhere else. The poster mentioned that he didn't know how to post pictures and didn't say that the one in the avatar was his. I concluded that he got the picture from somewhere else. On the other hand, when I did a Google image search, that image did not show up except as a part of his post on Atari Age... If it is his, funny that he wouldn't mention it.

He might've just had a few minutes to figure out how to put up an avatar, did that and took off for the rest of the day or something. Could be a number of things. Anyway, be interesting to see how it all turns out, I suppose. (At least it isn't Air Raid that he claims to have )

Easiest way to prove it would be to get him to take a photo of various parts of the package with pieces of paper with certain words written on them.

Like "THIS IS NOT FAKE" would be good

The price of a Boxed Mr. Boston just got a little more reasonable... (more common = less expensive) I'm hoping even more are discovered!

Well the Metadata from "bayoucollector's" Atari age gallery indicates that the avatar image was taken on sep 1. He has posted pictures of the PCB as well. I'm certainly no expert, but it sure looks legit to me...

I saw the PCB pictures too. He seems to be having a weird problem with the cart, though.

Yeah, I can't tell whether that's a pulled pin from the rom or a trace that's come up. Hard to imagine how that could have happened.
