Well November 1st will be a pretty busy day for me this year, so I got my Vectrex "gaming" in shortly after the calendar turned at midnight. Spent some more time with Art Master, which i had gotten back into this week. Made a tiny progress in one of the experiments i've been attempting: www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwP5O4qccLw

I'm struggling to find the Wiki page for the PYVD. Could someone please post the link to the Wiki page for this year's PYVD, here? EDIT: O.k., I found it: vectrex.wikia.com/wiki/International_Play_Your_Vectrex_Day (I've visited this page before and was irritated because noone else had posted at that time. And the page didn't look like the correct Wiki page to me. Perhaps this could be improved next year).

^It might look different because I moved all the previous Days' pics to a tabber underneath the Links area. If you click on it they'll appear then. The page was getting huge and it took quite a while to scroll downwards, so I figured it was time to somewhat hide the pics.

Hello world! After several months "aside", finally I came in time to post my 2 cents. Not a lot of points, anyway. Mainly, I was setting my two "permanents" play stations, for Vector Pilot and Debris (pics included in the gallery) Greetings for everyone

Still playing lots of Vectrex games in between attempts at getting high-scores on the Vector Wars games. So many I want to have a go at today.

Welcome back, centaura. Your Vector Pilot station looks really cool. Makes me think: "Time to wrap one or two of your Vectrexes!". Yes, the arcade look is great! Suddenly I remembered the PYVD, good day for a comeback

Yeah, I was wondering where you'd been.
So you hacked some kind of controller to work on your Vectrex? It looks pretty killer!

Yeah, I was wondering where you'd been. So you hacked some kind of controller to work on your Vectrex? It looks pretty killer! I had a big load of work these months, but happy to pick here again! Using a normal non-hacked Genesis/Megadrive controller (Quickshot Aviator 3), connected to a VecAdapt. I am not sure about how many were manufactured, but it is a cool add, having autofire and a very useful "reverse buttons" mode. I need to make a most appropiate cabinet, but this is the way, I think

Very interesting controller. That would be very appropriate if someone ever makes a Red Baron clone.
This year, I was very busy and did not get to make it as big of a deal as I'd like. I played Brecher, X-mas 2014, Obsolet and got qualifying scores for NELS and Minestorm.

^Sounds like a Mazogs and Maziacs remake, which was a very nice surprise to me to see. The games were released for the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and MSX. I would've been asking the same question as you if a friend of mine hadn't sent me a Retro Gamer mag years ago and that was one of the remakes included on its cd. As its Wikipedia page states, you're in a randomly generated maze where you have to get a treasure, then escape with it. You talk to prisoners chained up to its walls (by walking up to them and pressing up on the controller if I remember correctly) and a path will appear in the direction of the treasure. It disappears after several seconds, then you have to talk to someone else. There are monsters along the way and you have to pick up a sword and kill them. Only one sword can kill a monster; once it's gone you have to pick up another if you run into another one along the way (which you will!). If you accidentally run into a monster (sometimes they appear out of nowhere) you only have about a 50/50 chance of winning the battle and you only get one life. Your energy is also constantly depleting and you have to eat food along the way. Once (/if!) you get the treasure, you can only carry it/hold one object at a time, so if you run into a monster, you'll have to grab another sword and kill it, then go back for the treasure again. This game can have a lot of replay value to it and I think it's pretty cool that it's going to appear on the Vectrex

NOTICE: I just blocked someone who majorly screwed up the page and deleted all the past Days on the entry. I couldn't revert the page back since several other people had edited it since, and even copying and pasting everything back took a while to do, and I'm trying to do this in between chronic fatigue, taking care of this house and pets while one of the owners is gone and go about doing other daily things, which just takes up more and more time I don't have. You've been banned for three months, but if it's someone on here who wants to add to the wiki you can post on here or PM me to appeal your ban.
Granted, this could have been an accident, so just be more careful next time.
