Finally got the stats and pics up...here's the final tallies: *Nine people (plus one honorable mention; ok, so we made double digits after all) played from six countries, being situated in Switzerland, U. S., Denmark, Germany, Canada and the U. K. (did I miss anyone?). Mine Storm was the most played game (as usual, every single year, except for last year when there was a tie), with three players, whereas Big Blue and Scramble were next with two players each. 28 games were played total, with six being the original-released GCE/Milton Bradley games, whereas 22 homebrews were played. vectrex.wikia.com/wiki/International_Play_Your_Vectrex_Day

I won't be able to participate this year, even though Nov 1st is on a Friday. I'm traveling that day.

FOR GOD'S SAKES! I was just looking into a recommended file-sharing service. I try to start up an account. It says it's not doing new accounts now (?). I can still host a file though. I click on it and upload it. It says there's an error. Good GRIEF. Can anyone just host a file for me? Blasted ridiculous. PM for e-mail details or whatever just so I can send you a (not even very big!) picture for this event.

I host all my pictures for forums etc. on Google Sites, which is connected to your Google account, assuming you have one: sites.google.com/

So those allow third party hosting? Because I had Google Photos or something a while back and it wouldn't let me host photos.

Thanks, obviously those are two totally different kinds of sites. Not sure how to duplicate what you did to display and link to a photo though.

You go here sites.google.com/site/?usp=sites_home and create a new site. When you have the new site, find the Manage option and then Attachments and upload your pictures there - you get 100MB to play with. Then you link to it directly, see the URL for the png file below as an example:

If anyone wants to combine the below text with this photo here to spread the word on this, sorry for it being so last minute. I forgot for a while and then have had trouble hosting images (the Microsoft one that Trek posted about puts an exclamation point in its urls, which Proboards won't accept). In order to recognize and celebrate the original release of the Vectrex in November, 1982, on November 1st, Vectrex fans should:
1. Play their Vectrex 2. Make a note as to what they played
And that's pretty much it! There are additional things Vectrex fans can do, of course (such as share scores, take photos, etc.), but those are just the very basics. You can see examples and this page here for more info: vectrex.fandom.com/wiki/International_Play_Your_Vectrex_Day
See? Simple. And to paraphrase from something else, it's "so simple even a cat can do it!" (No, he didn't play. He'd rather hunt lizards. But then he's not very good with the Vectrex anyway.)
