+ Arctic Fox (I'd love to see the snowstorm whiteouts on my vectrex) Funny, I had mentioned the Stellar line of games in another section ;D Yeah, I've seen a couple of "snow"-type demos for the Vectrex, so that's definitely an interesting idea! + an adventure / exploration game (anyone played Fairytale or AnotherWorld on the Amiga?) What I miss is games where you can explore / wander around, by choosing your own path / direction. I think the system's due for Aztec or something. That was a weird, but neat Apple II (and I think a few other computers) game.

I'd love to see a good basketball game on the Vectrex.

Welcome b bierman ghoul! Finally maybe another sports person? Basketball sounds like a good start to showcase sports titles.

Yeah, there definitely hasn't been many sports games. (Not that I'm usually into them myself, just saying...)

Thanks, gamezone! Really glad to be here.
I'm definitely a sports guy. I've had some fun with Blitz, but it's gotten monotonous as I've mastered the finer points of gameplay. V-Hockey looks really good -- it's a 2600 Ice Hockey clone, correct?

Actually I think it's closer to Hat Trick. Can anyone confirm this?

I was playing Venture at a gaming expo over the weekend; a bit of a unique game there, having a certain way to beat each room, along with there being several levels/dungeons.
It seems like this is missing for the Vectrex, or at least something like it. Having unlockable levels, a memory save or continuances would be good, since I can't say I've gotten past level 3 on it, ever. It'd be nice to see what rooms and treasures would be beyond that.

I complete agree -- Vectrex needs an adventure game!

Would something approaching a Metroid-like exploration game be possible on the hardware?

I complete agree -- Vectrex needs an adventure game! Yeah there definitely isn't many of those. Can't answer your question though, fury or vectrexmad should be able to though.

i'll love to see on the vectrex - a better berzerk with 2 players - major havok - red baron and battlezone
and my all time favorites:
wizard of wor a tron like game (a conversion of snafo for the intv won't be that difficult) maybe with the 3d feel of vector grapihc a conversion of shark shark that's beacuse i thinnk my second controller is taking too much dusk!

- a better berzerk with 2 players The original's got two players, although I assume you mean the Verzerk VecVox hack...yes, it needs to be done a bit better! - red baron and battlezone You probably know that a Battlezone clone was started by Christopher Tumber years ago...probably only about 5% complete, or at least the version I've seen (you and two tanks just move around, and that's it)... Agree with the Tron one too.

Oy, another pinball game would be good. From what I've played of it (just on the emulator, but the graphics are a little off, plus on a Sean Kelly multicart last year at a gaming expo, as I don't have the cart myself yet) the playfield could have a target or two more to make it more interesting. Hell, maybe have the playfield take up two screens even, having the view switch from one to the other once the ball moves from one area to the other.
The Vectrex also could use a humorous game, like the Toejam and Earl games for the Genesis.

Yea, definitely Pinball. It's almost impossible to not lose your ball down the side. Very unforgiving. But I love it anyway.
