At around 21:40, Vertex Wars - interesting vector game I've never seen. .. It doesn't look like the best implementation, but I always thought a vector game where you were scaling a three dimensional object could be awesome, like Tower Toppler/Castelian, or a third person version of Starhawk or maybe what Cube Quest would have been. .. The player is fixed in the center in Vertex Wars, great for overlay on Vectrex.
Well, since I'm the official OUYA Rep, I wanted to share this. Tomorrow is the last day the OUYA servers work. That doesn't mean the console has to die. You can hack it or you can use it for emulation or simply play the free games you have downloaded. Have a watch at this video...
Sure thing! I just finished downloading tons of free stuff to it. Time will tell what happens with the purchased games as they may stop working but there's plenty of free stuff on it plus every emulator that came for the OUYA. So, potentially, I can still use it for quite a bit.
PS: With the OUYA gone, what will be my new title? LOL
Well, looks like the OUYA is being kept alive by its fans much like systems like the Vectrex, Atari 2600, etc. I just learned of a competition for making games for it: Ouya Anniversary Game Jam 2020. Check out the video below.
Celebrate the 7th anniversary of the OUYA with an Anniversary Game Jam on Itch.io!
